Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is under 1.5 minutes...you just can't send people at high speeds for more than a couple minutes and have it a thrill ride)...and if it breaks down, it can be 35 minutes! I think it's well done...does what it sets out to do. I just wish it wouldn't break down so much, although I know it's a permanent issue we will have to deal with...hopefully Mission: SPACE will ease some of the tension created when Test Track breaks down...
WOW. THAT is sad. RnR being 1.5 MINUTES? What are we coming to? All of that investment and all that waiting in line for what...1.5 minutes of screaming... Splash Mountain is an excellent example of a good thrill, it has many good thrills, has a clear story, is good in length, etc.
I suppose Test Track is 5 minutes...but that is still too short. I mean, if people want to go to EPCOT just for TT, they are paying $55 for a 5 minute-r...they should have redone the pavillion (that's why it breaks down so much - the pavillion, housing a thrill ride that is twenty years old!).
Another reason I don't really like Test Track is because of what it replaced. I love World of Motion. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. Sure, I know, out with the old, in with the new, but with this kind of attraction? Short, break-down, long long long long long wait, closed with raining, not really dealing much with the original idea of EPCOT (you don't think of that when you are going 65 mph).
But I still accept that everyone likes it.
Maybe Disney will do something nicer to Mission Space. I am glad they learned that they needed to demolish Horizons first. That's a good start.
But if it is replacing the darling jewel HORIZONS, then it better be better than what they replaced KK, JII, and WoM with!
