wow......what a fortnight....

i have just arrived back home in england this morning after two magical weeks in disney. We had the BEST time.....i cant remember day by day what we did but i found that it the little things that make the holiday anyway.

We havent been to disney since 1999 so we were sooooo looking forward to this trip. My brother havs just finished his a levels and i have just finished my gcse`s so this trip was kind of the calm after the storm.

We stayed at the Swan and thought it was wonderful, the location was excellant we were able to walk to mgm and epcot or take the boat to both.

the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and i do not not know how i am going to cope when tonight i do not get a turn down service with that little yummy chocolate.....

This holiday brought back so many memories...it was great.
i remembered my love hate relationship with TOT and my love relationship with RnR...

Fantasmic was better than i remembered and i loved alllllll the new parades.

RofE is cool, but not my favourite, and the magic kingdom fireowrks were amazing as ever but...when did tink stop flying down the rope?

This year we got to do an E-Ride night which was amazing....walking down main street and there just no-one around! Also splash mountain 5 times in a row when the previous week we had waited 20 mins with fastpass (standby line 75 mins!!!) however the big line was probably due to the fact epcot was closed that day so there were more people around.
still love test track but the wait times are baaad.
I LOVE the new figment..the song is sooooo catchy!!
I loved just watching all the characters with little kids... so sweet. There were so many more characters this year. It was nice to see.
I really like AK so i always enjoy that one. i just think the shows there are fantastic. the best on site.

by the way...HOW good are 4 for a dollar? they rock!
anyway ive ofrgotten loads and made loads os spellings but im jetlagged so....bleurgh
Please do ask me questions...ill be happy to answer them.

WigglyWiggins,

I am so happy that you had such a wonderful holiday!
I live in Florida and am a regular at Disney World. I love to hear from others around the world and their enjoyable experiences at Disney.

For me, part of the "Disney experience" is enjoying converstaion with the other "guests" at the park. I have met so many wondeful people from all over the world just strolling through one of the parks!

Again, glad you had a wonderful time. Visit again soon.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time (sigh - wish I could have been there to take pictures).

Did you have a chance to ask any CM's about Tink not flying?

Oh, and don't be surprised is this thread gets moved to 'WDW Resorts, Restaurants, DVC, Cruise Line & Trip Planning/Reports".

"Tinker Bell's Flight" is not a regularly scheduled attraction at the Magic Kingdom. If you look in the program guide that you are given at the entrance to the park, it will tell you if the flight is scheduled. I have noticed that if the park is closing before 09:00 pm, there is usually no flight. During peak seasons when the park is open later, they usually have one scheduled.

I first saw Tinker Bells Flight at Disneyland California in 1969.
Back then they would ask over the loudspeakers if you believed in Fairies? If you did clap you hands! Once everyone in the park started clapping loudly, the spotlight would turn to the top of the Matterhorn and tinkerbell would fly to the castle!

OK I Am so glad someone else has seen her since I was there!! But the rest of the answers have me a bit confused. Isnt Tink's flight always associated with the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks?? I know sometimes she is replaced by a witch for Haloween or Rudolph for Christmas, but weather permitting, doesnt she always fly for this show?

One thing to note about Tinkerbell's flight is weather conditions... if there is any electrical storms in the area, or predictions of such, she won't fly, for obvious safety reasons... and unfortunetly, the past month or so, there has been a LOT of storm activity.

I heard that the power plant behind Epcot went out and there was no electricity for the day. I had a friend who worked there and whe said that she had to do "paper work" all day long. No one on property could use thier computer. :(

Yup... Monorails has the Co-Pilot License, Watercraft has stickers, and Busses has "Honorary Bus Driver" cards

Thanks for all the replies,
It did rain about half an hour prior to fantasy in the sky so that might be why. We watched spectro magic (HOW scary is the evil queen from snow white....made about 3 kids cry....nearly me too....!) and then the fireworks and then did the e-ride night....and yes they are fantastic!!! i have to thank all you guys for that cos otherwise i would not know of their existence.
We went and asked guest relations at MK about epcot having seen the sign "Epcot Is Not Open At This Time" on the bus on the way to mk...we were like WHAT????? it was a bit of a shock...cops disney never closes!!! They said there had been a power outage after a small fire. My dad asked why thyere was no back up power and gthey said that there was but it had water damage from when the fire was put out....why they have there back up power right next to their normal power i do not know.:hammer:
That night there was a little bit on the Fox35 news. just interviwing peeps and that. There was also a helicopter we presume taking aerial film/photos??? above our hotel (swan) for ages...presumably going to get a better look at epcot.
The next day it was front page on orlando sentinel and the tiniest bit in USA today. that was about it. People were very understyanding and they kept mgm and mk open an hour later that day, i just feel sorry for the people who were on their last day and were leaving epcot til last. What i was appaled about though was that in the orlando paper it said that the workers at epcot would not get paid for that missed day...if they wantye to get paid they had to take holiday or a sick day. i think thats wrong. they were gonna pay them anyway....makes me a bit mad.:fork:
Anywho...didnt really disrupt us...aprt from longetr waits at mk..thats abotu it.

If I Am remembering right it wa sin the News and Rumors section of this posting board!! And thank you so much Tyler for your answer. It is on my list of Disney tips for my friends!!! You are wonderful!!
