Well, we just got home from a Christmas trip to Disney. WOW!!!! It was so much fun. So many new things that we have never done before.
Here's a quick summary:
Christmas day - United Airlines bumped us off our flight so we missed Christmas at the Fort. That was a big disappointment since we spent almost all of Christmas at the airport. But when we got there, we watched Holiday wishes, and saw the show Sounds of the Seasons - so cute!!!! Also, we love the updates to HM - the staircase room is really cool.
12/26 - Our first real day - EPCOT - we got to go on Soarin, Test Track, Spaceship Earth (my husband liked the descent - me not so much), the Seas, Turtle Talk, Gran Fiesta. We saw Mickey Mouse tucked in a corner by the America pavilion, had lunch at Le Cellier, and then did Candlelight Processional with Rita Moreno. It was AMAZING!!!!!!!! We were so inspired. She was great.
12/27 - Today was MGM. Had a great time. Saw/got pictures with the characters in Christmas gear. Went on the rides, saw the shows...It was a wonderful day - loved the parade. For those of you who like the drawing class at animation the classes are longer now and you can draw more characters. It is cool!! We had dinner at the Brown Derby and went to Osborne Lights. That show was absolutely incredible. WOW!!! Then we went and saw Illuminations.
12/28 - We went to MK. The morning was fine, but then it got mobbed. So we went back to the hotel for a swim. We had dinner at O'hana. Most of you probably know this but the menu is and has changed. No more Won Tons - replaced by bread. They are trying out shrimp on the skewer. We didn't have a great experience - we both felt a little sick after. I am sad the menu is changing. It sounds like they are totally overhauling it - maybe bringing a noodle dish?
12/29 - Great day!!! Went to MK - much better on crowds. Saw and did everything we wanted. Saw the Twas the Night before CHristmas show - really fun. Had dinner at France in Epcot, and watched Fantasy in the Sky - that show was amazing. What a great way to celebrate the New Year. So cool.
12/30 - Did some park stuff before the flight - saw the parade one last time at MK. It was really a great trip.
Going at Christmas is an experience. Very different from other times, but totally worth it.
