Hey folks. I am going to be stopping by DLR for one day this next week (on a Wednesday) and need a little help. The last time I went to DL was a while ago, and I was wondering what the crowds would be like. Do you think we would have time for both parks (all adults)?

Wednesday is the 4th of July.....it will be crowded.

Yes, it will be very crowded and very hot!! Be prepared for long lines for everything.

I think doing two parks would be extremely hard. I would stick with DL. My advice:
~Fast passes are your friend! I would hit the big three (Space, Indy, and Splash) first thing after the Subs. Get fast passes for those three and go on them while the line is short. I'm not sure on holidays, but DL doesn't get crowded till about 10 am.
~Save your fast passes for later in the day when the lines are really long. The CMs will let you use the fast passes after the time frame.
~The last two hours before the park closes are great! After the fireworks, many people leave. It's not crowded, cooler, and shorter lines (most of which are a walk on).

If you want to go on the Subs, you must get there before the park opens and run straight there. I went a couple weeks ago and got there 10 minutes after the park opened to find a 3 hour wait (and growing). The line will most likely reach IASW on Wed.

Yes, it will be pretty crowded, but not oppressive. I don't think you could really do the two parks in one day, stick to DL. I would also suggest you try to be there for opening and take advantage of some E tickets first thing, then FP others, then you can settle to a more leisurely pace for the afternoon as the crowds build.

Definately get to the park before opening and head to Nemo right away. While in line, one in your party can go get a fastpass to Splash, since those seem to go fast suring hot summer days.

You should be able to ride Nemo then go over to Space which shouldn't be more than 40-45 minutes at that time of day.

You will probably not have time to do both parks, but it all depends on how much you want to do. It would be nice to go to DCA to walk around and maybe have lunch in the Grand Californian.

Enjoy and stay cool!

It is possible to do both, but it really depends on what your goals are. If your goal is to see as much as possible, you know how to exploit weaknesses in the FastPass system, and you have a knowledgeable guide, you could totally do both. If I'm not mistaken, there is no early entry on Wednesdays, so if you're in the park for rope drop, you can probably get to Nemo without the ginormous queue already in place. Minus any of the above though, and you're probably best sticking just with DL.
