Trip Coming Up Soon...Couple Questions....

Hey guys,

I have a few questions that I'd love your opinions on...

What is the best and worst months to go to Disney? Right now, we are planning on going back in either April or May. We know we DON'T want it to be past May because thats when schools get out, and I'm sure the summers in Florida are killers. March could also be a possibility, but between April and May, which is the better month? Is there a specific week in that month thats best?

And lastly, I checked a couple sites to find out ahead of time about what, if any, attractions will be closed during April or May. But I guess it doesn't update that information that far in advance, as I didn't see any refurbishment closings for attractions listed for April or May.

Therefore, can people let me know of any rumors you may have heard? Are there certain attractions that are rumored to be closing or be closed in April or May? I'd love to know ahead of time so that this, too, can factor in my decision.

I would stay away from WDW anytime in April. Easter is late this year and the schools here in the north are on spring break around then. We have driven from Indiana to Florida MANY times over our kids spring break and I could swear that all of the state of Michigan and Indiana were being evacuated south towards Florida. No kidding, every other car on the road was from one of those two states! If winter is rough we just have to get away, it's that or go crazy, or maybe both, which is why all of us northerners always get in our cars and brave the long drive to the World. Year after year we say we won't go again, it's too crowded etc....then we can't help ourselves, we HAVE to get away! So...go in May, it can't be as bad then because everyone goes in April! Just my 2 cents!

Thats what I was thinking too regarding spring break. I know that, if we were to go in April, it would be something like April 26th to May 4th, roughly.

Well if you are a Star Wars fan like yours truly Star Wars weekends at MGM studios will be the last 2 weekends in May and the first 2 in June. April will be a little better for the weather but both are about the same attendance wise with the exception of Spring break and Easter.

The two weeks surrounding Easter are always very, very busy because that's the only time those of us who have school-age children can get down there in the spring. Late April to early May should be much quieter, and the weather should be very pleasant, too!

Easter is no-elbow-room, filled-up-parking-lots, turning-non-resort-guests-not-using-DTS-buses busy. Try to go after Easter & no later than mid-May.

I know Easter is a terrible time to go, but if it comes down to it that that's the only time you can go, you should be able to survive. The past two trips I've been on have been the week before Easter and the crowds didn't bother us. It's probably because we're not used to going in the slow season. But we had plenty of time to do everything, see everything, AND relax. So if it comes down to that being the only time, it hopefully won't be too bad.

Jan. after the marathon is over is great!! Cool weather, low crowds, virtually no wait time on attractions.
Ooops...don't tell anyone!!!:xmas:
