Travelling with a baby (UK)

We're taking our 3 month old to Florida in just over a week and wondered if it's possible to pack baby milk (for example powdered Cow and Gate) in the suitcase?

I just don't want to be stopped with boxes of white powder, as you can imagine at the airport.

Also, if not has anyone travelled to Florida and just gotten the baby milk there? I've been loads of times to the US, but this time is the first time with bubba.

Any help would be great,

Thanks

I can't help you with the "transportation" of your baby milk (did you know that we mostly call it baby formula here? - you probably did :)) since I was only nursing my kiddos the only time I crossed international waters/ borders.

I can tell you that you will be able to find formula/ powdered baby milk at any grocery store. What I do not know is if you will be able to find the brand you want. I've never seen powdered Cow & Gate, but as stated above I didn't spend much time in the formula/ powdered baby milk aisle! :)

I say this because I know some babies have very sensitive tummies and won't fare very well if you change their formula. (And who wants a baby with an upset tummy on vaction? :()

I really, really hope they let you bring your own formula/ powdered baby milk. It would be super mean of them if they don't!!! Traveling with babies is hard enough as it is!

Editing to add....... I know there are some great online grocery stores that you can order from who will deliver all of your stuff to your room at Disney. I've never used them, but people on these boards use them all the time! Maybe the trick will be to find an online grocery that has Cow & Gate and have them deliver a few tins to your room???

From what I can see that brand isn't sold here. It is important for your baby to continue on it's regular formula or there will more than likely be a problem.
Call your airlines and ask their advice. You may be able to bring SEALED boxes into the US in your luggage that is checked. I know the TSA here lets you bring liquid baby formula, juice and medication in your carry on.
