Traveling to Thailand

My boyfriend and I were thinking about going to Thailand in April for vacation;spending most of our time at the gorgeous beaches there. Does anyone know anything about it? A few people have told me, though, that Thailand is a dangerous place for tourists. Is that true? Does anyone here know?

it's a dangerous place for Europeans and Americans at the moment, as is most of Southeast Asia and the Middle East. I'd hold off on it for a while, and go to WDW instead! lol.. seriously, if you want to go someplace far and away, and if it MUST be asian, do Japan. At least they like us.

It is dangerous there right now and I would probably be too chicken to go.

Having said that, a fellow sponsor I know online just returned from a trip there. She went to visit one of her foster children so she was not exactly in the safest of areas. She ended up loving it so much that she is seriously considering moving there to teach English.

Americans are not very popular right now in many places in the world. If Thailand seems too risky, there's New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, Tahiti, and of course, the Caribbean and the Gulf beaches.

But Thailand sounds so exotic!

ok... you want exotic? not american?

South of France, Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza), Greece. If you must go to the far east, do Singapore (JUST DON'T CHEW GUM!!) or Japan
