Traveling between resorts

We have friends who are staying at POR and we are staying at PC. We are taking one night to do a "no kids" night at DTD (kiddies are staying with another friend for the evening at POR).

We will have to pick up our daughter at POR at the end of the evening. We will take the bus or boat back to POR from DTD, but how do we get back to PC...especially if it's late?

Any ideas? Cab? Busses running late to DTD?

Your best bet is probably a cab. Otherwise, two buses with an undetermined wait time for each - it could take as much as an hour.

I agree with the others, a $5-10 cab ride is probably the best bet.

Also, if you get in late, waiting on the buses and transferring might wake the kids up and then they might stay up for a while, which we all know can be oh so fun for mom and dad!

Another vote for cab. Went from Port Orleans to DTD to Swan to get to fantasia gardens mini golf and I think it took me 2 hrs. Called a cab for the ride back.

I vote rental car.

We always get one, pickup at airport, and the cost is usually $115-$150 for a whole week.

I recommend Budget or National, their deals are good, you can find coupon codes online, and their pickups are just outside baggage claim.

Makes the whole week enjoyable not having to wait for busses, being able to go to other resorts or to play miniature golf at BB or FG.

Have a nice trip!

So, we're thinking we will go with a taxi - definitely the big choice of answers so far!!!

Now, can we get taxi's with car seats?? Can you request that when you call?

Craig

ps. crazydaveh...our four year old has decided that sleep is optional. Of course, if she doesn't get enough she's h#ll on wheels!! :goodnevil You know I'm looking for the most direct mode from POR to her bed!

Thanks fngoofy...we gave up renting cars a few years ago. We just don't leave the property enough to make it worth our while. And we are pretty flexible about using WDW transport. This is the first time we've had to go resort-to-resort in seven visits!

The easiest way to get a cab is to have Guest Services call for you. You can make any special requests at that time. We have often requetsed a van as opposed to car just to give us a little more room.
