This proves that AKL is really not much further from the parks as people tend to complain about. Usually people who have never actually stayed there but just like to chime in when they really have no idea what they are talking about lol.
Yup. It's physically the farthest, but it has a very direct path via main roads to the various parks. It'll take you far longer to get from the monorail resorts to anywhere other than the Magic Kingdom than it'll take you from DAKL.

THIS THIS THIS!!!

It drives me so NUTS to read folks post about how far out ALK is and how LONG it takes to get there. I've spent over 30 days, various trips, and never come close to some of the nightmare bus trips some of the naysayers come up with. Really, though, I suppose I'm fine with it if it means it keeps people away from my second home! :D

This is great to know! We are staying at Kidani in November, and will be going mainly for Food and Wine. Since I've never stayed at AKL, I was a little worried about travel times, but it seems like it won't be an issue considering I'll have my mom and an infant with me :)

Just stayed there in March. We loved it! The bus ride times don't really seem any longer than when we stayed at POFQ. Plus, like many of the other deluxe resorts, the bus station at Kidani has TVs that tell you what time the bus will get there.

Overall Kidani is such a relaxing resort. The rooms are quiet and the savannas are serine. Also, the pool has a great little bar that serves some decent food as well. Nachos, Foot Long Chili Cheese Dog, good ol stuff like that.

Hope you enjoy your trip!

It also depends on the bus driver, I once had a driver who I don't think went over 20mph and it seemed to take forever. Overall though it's not that long of a ride!
