Travel documents

Its been several years since we have last been to WDW. In the past, we have gotten a package with all the travel documents, vouchers, etc. Around the 45 day mark. We leave in just over a month. Do they still send out a package or will we get the stuff at check in? We've always gotten Tinkerbell luggage tags, but don't really need more :)

They typically hit the mail about 30-40 days out. If you booked through a travel agent they will go to them first and then your travel agent will mail them to you.

Also, as an aside - don't do what I did last time i.e. convince yourself that your flight confirmation was sent with the pack, realise it wasn't and then have to hurriedly boot up your computer (which takes ages, of course), fire up the printer, print off the documents, all whilst the taxi taking you to the airport is waiting outside.

Because it's stressful if you do!

Cool! I had the red Mickey tags in Sept. 2012.
I can't wait for my Mickey Mail! It's nerve racking to go to the mailbox every day, and then there's nothing!
Don't worry though. They'll come soon!:D

I miss my Mickey mail! We did a room only this time, and for a while I forgot and was expecting the packet. We usually get ours around 30-45 days out. We got the red Mickey's in November. Last year I think we got ones with the castle on them. I never got Tinkerbell tags, they sound cute!

We would get our Mickey Mail around 30 days out. Last year they were red Mickey face tags. They do change them. Like DizneyPryncess said, a few times we got a Castle and then we also got one with the whole Mickey Gang on them.

Since final payment on a MYW package is due 45 days before travel, and you can cancel up to day 45 with no penalty at all, Disney shouldn't be sending the documents until after that 45 day mark. As the owner of a travel agency, I usually see them no sooner than 38 days before travel, but that is very rare, most arrive 7-30 days before travel, I would say the average is in the 21-30 day range.

I would think it also depends on where you live. I am in NJ, so the Florida to New Jersey mailings are timely. They do send 99% of them via US Postal Mail.

My Mom and I picked ours up at the travel agency (AAA, good discounts!) and when the agent pulled out the 'official' tags and vouchers I squealed like a pig in the middle of the place. I'm pretty sure everyone stopped talking, the music stopped, and all eyes went towards me... but that could have just been pure embarrassment talking. :)

Seeing the Mickey tags and physically holding the paperwork was pure joy. Can't wait!
