Transportation Number?

Alright, so my father is a maintenance and operations manager for a Bus transportation system at home. He has always remarked that it would be so cool if he could tour the Disney Bus facility. (It's related to his job and he is a huge Disney nut, would love to connect the two I guess) I have looked all over the internet and so far the only thing that I could find is this guy Jim Vendur is VP of Bus maintenance and operations or something like that. But no phone number or email address....is there a Disney company directory anywhere out there??

I know I might not be able to work it out, but it's something he would love and we are going to be arriving on property a day before our park tickets start anyways!

I figured if anyone knew the resources or steps I should take it would be the WDWMagic community!

I have a few possibilities for you:

1) The number I have for Tranportation Info is 407-939-7433, but I believe that's more for questions of "how do I get from x to y?" or "We've been stuck at the Fort Wilderness boat dock for 45 minutes without a boat" type of things.

2) Because you know the specific manager's name, you could try calling the Main Switchboard at 407-824-2222 and ask to be connected. Though don't be surprised if they dump you into his voicemail, rather than a direct transfer to him.

A third option would be to send a letter through snail mail. Address it to the manager's name, include his job title, and send it to PO Box 10000, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830. It may take an extra day or two, but it'll get routed to him from there.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, It's kind of a conundrum because I doubt Jim Vendur is low enough down the "food chain" to actually be the person that could help out....yet by the same thing, the people that could help are not publicized haha.

I suppose I could send him an email the worst that could happen is it get's ignored.

I guess you aren't too aware of how the Disney executives work, if he's a VP it's very likely that ALL he does is read his email.

What about going through Casting? Im sure that is where all of the hiring is done. I thought I had read somewhere they are having a job fair next weekend? Anyone have a confirmation on that? Marie

Hey!! Thanks for the input! I emailed Jim Vendur. So we'll see I guess, he's not looking for a job (yet, haha he always said dream retirement job is to just drive a Disney bus around.) just would love to see how they handle their fleet and stuff.

Any VP that wants to keep their job more than a year sure as heck better read their own email. You really think the VP of transportation is that much of a big shot?

He may not reply to your email... but unless VP's at Disney suddenly started becoming billionaires I'd be willing to bet he is a normal guy who reads and responds to most of the emails he gets.
