transportation from Carribean Beach resort to Universal?

I'll be travelling to WDW in september (yay) and will be using the disney transportation for much of the trip (I'm staying at the carribean beach resort). I'd like to go to universal for one day during the week, but as I won't have a rental car I don't know how I'll get there. Does anyone know if there is a shuttle to the other park or if i would just have to take a cab?

thanks in advance

You can take a cab, rent a limo, or use one of the services advertised on this website.

You can also take Mears, but that will take much longer than any of the above.

You could also take Lynx the Orlando city transportation. You'd have to transfer buses at least twice (from Disney transportation at either MK or DTD???), then catch a bus somewhere and then transfer to another bus to the studios.

I'd rent a cab or use a towncar service to get to Universal.

I was pleased with Your Ride when we used them last week. They also said they were avaliable for transportation to other places, not sure how much it cost. You can also try Tiffany Town Car, I have heard good things about them too.

Yourride.net is the website I think.

We were very happy with Mears. Picked us up right away at Custom House at CB in the morning, and picked us up at Universal right when they said they wopuld. Our drive home was free. If you wait more than 5 minutes fr a Mears it was free. Very nice I thiught.

Yeah if you didn't drive down or if you didn't rent a car, the only thing that I can think of would be to take a cab. Obviously I don't believe that Disney would provide you transportation to a competitor's park, but you never know. What I would do is call the reservation desk and ask them if they have any transportation suggestions for you.

If you really wanted to rent a car for a day, the swan or dolphin has, a rental place inside, I can't remember which one, but it was a bigger one that you would know. We had to use it to drive are self’s home from from our Sept. Trip at the Caribbean 2001.
