Transportation Between Resorts

Good day all!

Looking for some suggestions on transportation between resorts. We will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort for the first time in late November/early December. We have a couple dining reservations at other resorts (Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village and The Polynesian Resort). Past trips have been a time consuming adventure trying to get to our dinners at other resorts. We will be car-less (as we are using the Magical Express airport bus service)... so my questions is - what is the least painful way to get between resorts? Do Uber drivers have access to the resorts?

The Polynesian isn't so bad - can hop a bus to MK and take the monorail (I don't think there is a bus from the resort to the transportation & ticket center)... but getting to the Animal Kingdom Villas will be a pain!! We have eaten at Boma several times (the food was fantastic!) in the Animal Kingdom Lodge but the trip there and back was not fun :banghead: lol.

Thanks for any suggestions/hints! :)

Yes, you can Uber between resorts.
If you want to use Disney transport between CBR and AKL, take a bus to AK and then transfer to the AKL bus. We did this recently without difficulty.

Taking a taxi can really be worth it in these situations. They are often already waiting nearby the resort entrances so even without arranging in advance the wait is minimal. The cost is pretty trivial compared to the meal you're about to enjoy so it's worth removing any stress or inconvenience of the bus system. The buses are fine for park transportation but for resort to resort meals not covered by the monorail or an easy walk (like around the Epcot hotel area) a taxi will make things much more enjoyable.

I'm a little embarrassed that we never thought of using a Taxi before this. I guess it just isn't something you think to do when at Disney. A previous trip we ate at Boma at the AKL and we spent almost 3 hours combined on transportation there and back. Something we can probably do for quarter of the time via taxi/Uber. Thanks to traveling for business I have discovered Uber and have been impressed with it so far. I think that is the direction we will go this trip and see how it goes. Thanks for the input! :)

Yeah, when I say taxi I mean it interchangeably with Uber. It just makes things so much simpler. Like I said, buses are fine for routine park transportation but in some situations they're a needless annoyance when there's an alternative you can control. Time wasted is money wasted on vacation as I see it.

The Poly is right next to the TTC and is a 5 min walk from the monorail station, so no need to ride the monorail, unless you simply wanted to ride it.
AKL is further away, but we try to make it worth the trip by spending time watching the animals and enjoying the resort decorations. They might have the fire going outside, which is nice, too.

Uber in the WDW area is great. Used it to get to Jiko, Boma, Ohana, and the Boardwalk multiple times on the last few trips. Cheaper and faster than a taxi for us as well!

There is discussion already about Poly. Regarding, AKL you could take bus to AK then switch buses to AKL being its not very far from AK. Remember, you can think of parks as hubs for buses. I'd build in at least an hour and a half travel time.

Thanks JohnD. That is how we went to AKL before... and it was about a 90 minute travel time each way. I think we are just going to Uber over and back and save a couple hours riding/waiting on buses. :)
