What's the deal with the transformers ride? Will it be the identical copy of Hollywood's or will it be different because we have the same ride system in Spiderman next-door?

So far what the insiders are saying is that it'll be the same....with some extra bells and whistles! ;) here's hoping they actually add animatronics to ours!

Wouldn't everybody be surprised if all the rumors are wrong. It would be funny if they built the exact same system as the Transformers in Hollywood including the building design and then when everybody is saying that this proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt, they announce that the attraction is Jaws: The Revenge.

I haven't been on Transformers, but there's one scene in POVs that strikes me as really weird. After being thrown into the building by Starscream, the ride vehicle moves through some smoke en route to the next screen where Megatron gets the upper hand against Optimus. Now when the vehicle is moving through the smoke, there appears to be a flat picture of some buildings that looks really out of place to me. For anyone who's been on the ride, is it supposed to represent looking out into the city from the building, or what? Just strikes me as really odd, like the budget ran out and they couldn't afford to do anything there. Maybe this will be upgraded in the Orlando version?

Also, the last Starscream scene looks really momentum-killing to me. We have a great scene where we're trapped in a building with Megatron and Optimus is on the ropes, but then here comes Starscream to...do nothing? He lands on EVAC, gets shot from behind, and flies off. Then one scene later, the ride ends. That scene doesn't seem to fit with the flow of the narrative at all, doesn't accomplish anything, and doesn't build tension, like it was just added as filler. But I haven't ridden it, so I could be wrong. Just seems like a scene where Starscream maybe blocks a path or chases us to funnel us towards our inevitable doom at the hands of Megatron would be more fitting. Something like that.

Yes, it's supposed to look like that. Sounds like you need to experience the attraction for yourself. It's amazing.

I hope extra bells and whistles means a nice exterior and more physical effects (and AA's!) inside the ride...

Any insiders want to comment?

Do you guys think that putting a Transformers overlay on the King Kong 360 3D ride system could work?

I'm sure you could display any number of themes with that tech. Why do you ask?
I think it could be cool because if we get a clone from Transformers Hollywood we'd get the same thing which is in Spiderman across the street.. So we can get a Transformers overlay of King Kong 360 3D with Autobots and Decepticons fighting rather than Kong and Dinosaurs

We're already getting the same ride system as Hollywood.

While I'm not a fan of the redundancy with Spider-Man, the Kong ride system has limitations that make it unappealing IMO, like the fact that your vehicle requires a roof of some sort to not ruin the illusion. It also doesn't allow for integration with physical effects the way Spider-Man/Transformers do.

You do not need a roof. There are 360 3D theaters such as the Bubble Show at City of Dreams casino in Macau or TurtleTrek at SeaWorld Orlando. What I think @Turtle may not realize is that the tour trams are not moving forward during Kong Kong 360.
