Transferring management for minor from one account to another?

When we went in June I managed my daughters(3.5 years old) tickets/reservation. She's listed as having an account that's managed by me.

My parents are taking her in Nov. My dad is one of my friends and when I "found" him via his resort reservation it showed my daughters name and that I manage her account...

Will they have to set up a new account for her? Can I transfer management?

I'm unaware of a way to transfer a "managed by you" profile so that it becomes a "managed by them" profile.

However, if they just need access to your daughter's profile so that they can add her to the reservation and make FP+ choices for her, they just need to add her as a friend using the "add by mutual friend" function in the "Add New Guest" section of the MDE site. (You would then get the "accept friend request" notification) That would allow any old Magic Bands to still work for your daughter on their trip, but you would still retain overall "control" of your daughter's profile.

Now...if they've *already* created a brand-new managed-by-them profile, you might run into trouble because there are now two profiles for your child. They may have to delete the profile they created and then add the one under your account. If they've already made dining and hotel reservations and inked them to her, that may further complicate matters...

Ideally there should only ever be a single profile for any given person. Anyone who needs to do something for/with that person would need to link to the single profile rather than create a new one. And then as a child gets older to the point where they can take over control of their profile, you can use the "Invite to Plan and Share", put in their email address and let them take over control.

Ok thanks! No ADR's are linked to her that I know of. I doubt they've even created one for her. I'll have to walk them through linking hers to theirs.

Thank you!

If you do end up with double accounts, a CM over the phone should be able to fix things. Make sure you have the email address for each person who might have an account/be duplicated. In the case of a child I would say your email and the one your parents used to make their account.

Sounds like from your description though that they have already friended your child's account controlled by you. You should have had some kind of notification in MDE that they requested to add her. Unless you all went on a big trip together previously. Then she was probably already listed in their friends/family.

Anyway, I hope everything works out!
If she's listed in their account they can set up FP and reservations for her. No need to transfer management.

Call Disney IT. They'll have to do it for you. The same thing happened to me and we were told only the person who made the initial reservations could manage children (I wanted to allow my wife access to manage our daughter as well).
