Transfering to a New Role

Hi, I recently just got hired over at Epcot's Mission:Space, and I absolutley love it there, and I am glad I'm not anywhere else on property. But right now I am in the character pool, awaiting to hopefully get picked into entertainment. But if that doesn't work out, how long do I have to wait until I can audition again for characters? I was told you can transfer in 3 months, but I've heard others say 6 months. What's the real answer in transfering? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

For auditioning it is every 6 months.

Well, best of luck with getting into characters...I was in characters for over 16 years and don't regret one minute of it. Some of my best memories working at WDW were from experiences in the sets parades shows and trips I got to be a part of. When (not if) you get pulled into the character area, have a blast...steer clear of whiners and enjoy yourself.

So let's just say my 6 month period for audtioning is in April, but I'm still working at Mission:Space. That would make it less than 3 months. Can I still audition, and eventually transfer if I've only been in that role for 3 months?

So basically my real question is this. How many months do you have to work somewhere before you can transfer anywhere on property? Is it 3 or 6? Thanks!

I'm still pretty sure it's 6 months before transfering.

If you are part time you can transfer after 3 months, full time has to wait 6 months.

Yes, just look at the internal transfer guidelines on the Hub.

Those are the guidelines...however there have been exceptions and may still be in the future...those things have changed several times in the past...
