Oh, I heard on the local news that it ran into another tram at top speed and flipped over 4 times... gald to hear eveyones okay though. lol:cool:
All 14 miles per hour? Did it do the 'honk, honk' think before it started to flip?

imagineersrock said:
They're saying 3 now actually...

The only injury noted was when the tram rolled to a stop over someones foot. The guest was lifeflighted to Orlando General Hospital where toe replacement therapy was promptly ordered.

It is still under investigation, Fox is reporting it only managed to get 1 honk out before the flip(s) occured---it is still unclear just how many flips the tram made.

Actually, due to budget cuts...all two honk horns were replaced with one honk horns..... :lookaroun

Whats even more ludicrous is that after the accident, when they roped off the scene with the "crime scene" tape, guests thought that Disney had thrown up another meet and greet and started waiting in line for Roger Rabit.... :lookaroun

Wait- what channel are you watching? Because Fox just said that guests misunderstood it to be another STITCH crime scene like the one at DTD. You might want to double check your sources because Fox is never wrong.

You are correct....I was watching ABC when I should have been watching the coverage on FOX......You would think Disney's own network could get it right.... :lookaroun

I can confirm, Heraldo has been doing all of the reporting.

I do however have a confession to make... I kind of... "jumped the gun" on reporting this thing... What started out as a mutiple flip massacre has turned out to be nothing more than a 35 year old man dropping his goofy hat and having to take an extra trip on the tram to retrieve it. (As Heraldo last reported it)

While all this sure was funny, I'm just glad this sort of thing doesn't really happen in the media..... :lookaroun

Did you even bother to read my origional post?
I thanked him for his information and welcomed him to the boards.

Then this thread went in another direction, and began poking fun at the current media trends with all the recent Disney accidents. At no point were we making fun of anyone on these boards unless Heraldo Rivera is a WDWMAGIC forum member. In which case I send to him our "greatest apologies"

Again, this was no more offensive than the ladder joke threads from the M:S days. Please, just calm down. No hard feelings. :)

EDIT:
PS-Disnyfan89, I love your Avatar

I agree. The thing I like most about WDWMAGIC is the sense of humor
around here. Some of you guys are hysterical!

Again, this was all in good fun. Not aimed at anybody.

When I posted my original post I was not refering to all who posted.

I must admit I may have jumped the gun but I was reading this thread from the new member's view and it could be seen as ofensive in my eyes if I was new and only trying to fit in.

Thanks for the coments on my avatar.

Glad we got that settled. :)

Now to the OP- incase you still might be under the impression that we were poking fun at ya or anything, we weren't. (I think?) lol

In all honesty, we're for the most part just a bunch of funny, goofy, sarcastic disney fans... and my origional post still stands, I thank you for your info. and I welcome you to the boards.

Beware of Conservation Station

To me the main point is that there was no way for them to walk back. A similar thing happened to my family in March. We were almost ready to leave AK for our afternoon rest when we decided we had 45 min or so to ride out to Conservation Station, since we had not seen it before. It was a nice trip, a quick walk through the exhibits, and then BOOM. The line to get back on the train was way way way down the path and not moving at all. We finally learned that something was wrong with the train and they were trying to fix it. When it finally starting running, it took about 6 ot 7 trips to get everyone back to "civilization". We were in line for about an hour and a half - hot, tired, and cranky.

On our next visit we were smart enough to skip Conservation Station. Once you get there you are at the mercy of one means of transportation.
