Hey there -
Was wondering if anybody has ever been to Trails End for dinner? How was it?

We're going in September, and wanna eat at places we haven't eaten at before -
Any recommendations?

Trail's End is always one of our must-do's. It is the best buffet dinner value on WDW property. Lots of salads, veggies, fried chicken, bbq, carving station, pizza, dessert bar, make-your-own sundae...we always leave full and satisfied. The servers are very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is laid-back. We always enjoy walking around the campground before or after dinner, find it very tranquil after a busy day at the parks!

I've been there for both lunch and dinner and enjoyed each visit. The food was good and plentiful and the service was excellent. If you are staying at the WL or the Contemporary, it is just a short boat ride which is a nice change after so many buses. One of the better deals if you are not on the DDP. Enjoy!

We tried Trails End for breakfast on our trip to FWC in 2010 and I ended up cancelling our dinner reservation. I was disappointed that all the fruit on the buffet for breakfast was loaded with sugar. Powdered sugar on the waffles and french toast. Everything seemed to be on the sweet side excluding the eggs, sausage, and bacon. I don't do added sugar at all and was really bummed about this. We have done other breakfast buffet dining (Cape May Cafe) and I have been very pleased with the selection of items that did not have added sugar. The taste from the metal plates also seem to infiltrate the food, which is odd that I would notice as I cook with cast iron all the time. Just my .02 but we would not return for a meal.
