My wife and I really want to check this place out this fall. I heard that the waits to get in can get rather long however, is this accurate?

Yep expect a 60 minute or so wait. Although you may luck in to a quicker entry depending on time of arrival. Late in the evening is generally quicker.

We put our names in, got a pager. Enjoyed exploring the Poly for a bit, and we got in just about as we were wrapping up. Not bad.

We walked in with no problem last Tuesday at 630 PM. Went back on Saturday at 5 PM and had an hour wait. Sat on the lounge and enjoyed the Hawaiian music.
