Soft Openings are when Disney plans to open an attraction that is under construction to get guest feedback and work out the kinks. Disney can close the attraction at anytime and may not reopen it that day. Also, the attraction may not open at all. When Soft Openings for the SSE first began, Management would open the construction wall at different parts of the day and close it after awhile. Basically, it's hit or miss.

I'm hoping this is right and that we catch it open! DS is a Buzz fanatic, and DH and I have been talking about how much he'd like this ride. We rode the Buzz ride 7 times last visit.

Yep, that was posted on The Hub last week or the week before. The date, as you said, is definitely tentative. It's scheduled right now but obviously could change at a moment's notice. There's also no word as to how long it will remain open.

My guess is that with something as interactive as TSM, they'll soft open for a day or two, make some major tweaks, soft open again, make some minor tweaks, and then be ready for a grand opening.

Keep in mind that DCA's version of TSM will be opening with a grand press event on June 11th, 12th, or 13th. I would expect that they'd want WDW's to open by then as well.

I just really really hope there is more to the ride than just riding around on a track interacting with video screens. Some live specail effects, non-video theming, and maybe an AA at the end of the ride would be nice.

I've read mention of things like bursts of air in your face when you pop balloons on screen, etc.
