This seems lIke a really tight window for both films. Maybe one should move, to be fair I expect Toy Story 5 to do better. It’s also the one I’m more excited for but I’ll be watching both.

Its only a few days less than the time between IO2 and DM4 and that seems to have worked ok. IO2 got a majority of its domestic box office in the first 10 days, so I think it'll be ok here too.

And as of today, we’re 17 months out from when next year on June 19, 2026, since we’re in the year 2025 now, Disney & Pixar deliver us on the big screen the next chapter in the saga of toys who come to life in #ToyStory5, which all we’ve got to go off of in terms of what its story is are the two pieces of concept art below, where the toys must fight for their existence and for their relevance as phones, tablets, electronics, and technology begin to make them feel like they’re slowly being forgotten and, with matters being made much worse, they’ll have to deal with a little issue involving 50 rogue, commemorative, AI-powered, and malfunctioning Buzz Lightyear action figures all stuck in “toy mode” that will make considerable problems for everyone.

I know, while #ToyStory4 was good and was able to be a nice ending for Woody, many felt that the story should have ended with #ToyStory3, but I have to believe Andrew Stanton will be able to prove everyone’s doubts about this film wrong… again, just like Toy Story 4 turned out as a good enough film to prove most people wrong about that film.

If it was anyone but Andrew Stanton, I would be concerned, but given what I saw of his work with #WallE and how strong he did on his other two Pixar films like #FindingNemo and a person fave of mine from Pixar in #ABugsLife, I’ve got 100% faith he will succeed where most other directors have failed. In fact, considering there are rumors of #Cars 4 being made, I’ll make a real confident bet that Toy Story 5 will be such a great movie, it will make Cars 4 so inferior in quality to the point where many think the franchise should’ve ended at #Cars3.
