No...ToT 1 was the one where you started with a 4 or 5 story drop then went to the top and dropped 15 feet and then to the bottom. ToT2 was called "Twice the Fright" and featured the 5 story drop, then a trip to the top, this kind of bobbing drop followed by a drop to the bottom, and then a rise back up to the 1st set of horton doors with no stop before dropping (and a characteristic "screaming" noise to the ride system). ToT3 was called "Fear Every Drop" and featured the 5 story drop, a trip to the top, a 15 foot drop then drop to the bottom, then a second trip to the top followed by a drop to the first horton doors and a drop to the bottom, then a 3rd trip up similar to the final drop in ToT2. This was also the version where the "lightning effect" emerged. ToT 4 is the current incarnation "Never the Same Fear Twice", where there are four sequences from which the computer picks one randomly. It also has quite a few special effects that are new and vary based on the drop sequence, including false endings, creepy statues, bursts of cold air, burning smoke. All of the sequences feature 3 big drops and a few smaller ones.sgmco said:If memory serves me (and sometimes it doesn't) here are how the various ToT sequences went--
ToT 1--Straight up, then straight down
ToT 2--A 3-4 story drop, then straight up then straight down
ToT 3--Various ups and downs, but always the same sequence of drops and lifts.
ToT 4--Computer-generated random sequences, which also added other various special effects (depending on which sequence you get--I don't want to give too much away).
Hope that helps.
DisneyBunny said:Just wondering, what improvements could they make to ToT V 5.0? It's difficult to improve on random drops. Would they add something else "mid-drop"? I know the computer program allows relative ease of changing the drops, but what else could they improve on?
Maybe they should do some dusting in that lobby :lookaroun...or keep the UR Doomed in place.
