Tower of Terror

Hi! There was a rumor at one time about Tower of Terror adding some sort of smell during the ride. Does anyone know anything about it? If so, did it happen and what kind of smell. Thanks

Anyways, I have yet to hear that rumor. Sounds interesting though. Anyone else hear about that?

When they did the Tower 4 upgrade late last year, 1 or 2 of the drop sequences included air being sprayed in your face which had kind of a rubbery, industrialized smell...to represent rusty chains and the type of smell you would expect from an elevator gone amuck, as I recall.

It sounds like something Disney would do. The parks and attractions are known for their theme enhancing arromas.

What in the heck? I can't even imagine what kind of smell they would add...? What, like burning cables? I'm lost...:lookaroun

i can imagine them putting that smell of burning rubber or somthin 2 add to the ride. Tower is awesome and it would be so much cooler if they would add some more special effexs to the fifth dimension because i can imagine that low fog with laser/ moving lights would really enhance the ride. Another idea is having the room pretty foggy because if a picture is projected on the fog it would look kind of like a hologram.

I think you will find that the smell comes from the more nervous riders :animwink:

They probally dont use fog because they can't control it

They could probaly use low lying nitrogen fog. As for high fog effects they could provbaly use something similary to the Indy TDS smoke ring effect.
