O.K.

Ive never really been on ToT,but I was just wondering
when they say,adding seatbelts(or already added)do they
mean taking away the lapbars or just like keep the
lapbars and add some seatbelts as well, cause im curious
(and confused)

Any help, references, stories,or experiances will be most
appreciated.:)

In the redesigned ToT elevators, there are just seatbelts... no lapbars. But, if I remember right, there are handles on each side of you...

Personally, I like it without the lapbar... now you can leave some slack and the CM won't even notice... that means a better experience, IMHO.

They took out the lap bars and added seatbelts. Disney says it's safer and it also gives riders more airtime off their seat when the ride descends. I actually sat in a seatbelt last year on TOT and it was the only one in the elevator. It was pretty cool and you have nothing to hold on to and your butts go off the seats when you drop. It was pretty neat! Hope i helped! Later.

WOW,thanks, but what happens if you dont hold on,and
are the seatbelts tight enuff so you wont hit the cieling of the
elevator

ok...some things about the seatbelts....

At first...I didn't like them as much

Reason - They automatically tighten as much as they can...(no slack) (not tight...but snug)

Got thinking...I just "held" the slack.

Reason - You need to hold the slack so it doesn't "tighten" to your waist

Point being - Seatbelts are only better if you hold the slack...therefore giving you more airtime. You get little to NONE with the belt tightened.

ONLY SEATBELTS...
THANK GOD! :sohappy:

I've done both lapbar and seatbelt seats in the past and the seatbelts are the absolute best. You feel more weightless when the elevator drops and you've gotta love that. I can't wait to try it again.:sohappy: :sohappy:
