Tower of Terror Question

I just did a really quick search and didn't find anything related to this.

I rode Tower of Terror today, and have been riding it since it opened. Today was the first time I ever noticed hanging bodies on the drop. I could only make out their outlines for the smallest fraction of a second, but they were there. I asked a friend who was sitting next to me if she saw them too, and she said she had. It was the first time she had ever seen them as well. Anyone else ever see them?

In case anyone asks we were in the elevator shaft to the right.

Those were not hanging bodies, those were the same ghost as in the beginning of the ride. At least thats what they are if thats what i am thinking of.

I've seen posts on here alluding to mannequins that are positioned on the sides of the elevator shafts. I've never seen them but I will be looking the next time I ride.

@stargrl33, they were directly in front of the elevator car. @KatMaria, I'm not sure they were. I could only make out two of them and there were supposedly five ghosts.

Do you mean the apparitions or actual, 3-D bodies? I never noticed bodies, either. I will be watching this thread for their location and for how long I've been missing them!

It was almost like catching a glimpse of a shadow. If you think of the hanging corpse at the Haunted Mansion, it was sort of like that, but it was so quick you almost think that your mind was making it up. That's why I asked my friend if she saw it, too. I swear I'm not losing my mind.

It's in a part of the shaft that is really dark. All I can really tell you is that the apparitions that you see the first time the elevator doors open is nothing at all like what I saw in the elevator shaft. It's not possible to make out details, and it honestly happened so fast that all I could catch was two of them. For all I know there could've been five.

Yes! It was my last ride of the night, and the ghostly body appeared on the final drop.

I screamed so hard from it, that my throat hurt. (I was in the front row, with two of my friends who also screamed bloody murder, haha)

But yes, it was literally feet away and was only visible for a split second. Very terrifying.

Thanks for the link. It was a little chilling to catch just a glimpse of them. Like the post you linked to said there is a little bit of light that gets in and backlights the mannequins and beams. My mind may have been filling in the blanks by throwing in a rope with a noose.

All five ghosts are in there....depends on which drop sequence you get as to which ones light up.

I've seen the bellhop and the newlyweds.

I've seen the girl a lot and the bell hop. They are indeed there butbyou won't always spot them though.... I rode TOT 5 times last week and saw one once... I find the girl the easiest to spot.

Yes there are mannequins in the drop representing the people in the movie in the queue. They supposedly glow and blow air. But yes they are supposed to be there and always have been.

We have a running gag with my sister. We all pretend that we don't see anything and it drives her crazy. She asks about it every time we ride together. "Did you see it that time?" Nope

They specifically light up for one of the profiles when you stop in front of them for a moment, but because you're going up and down past them there's always the chance of catching a glimpse in ambient light that's in the shaft, whether through the outside doors at the top of the shaft being open at that moment or I think there's also air vents on the front of the shafts that aren't 100% baffled of outside light.
