I will be staying on site for the first time in my life:D !

I am SOOO excited!

I wondered if everyone could post pictures of their towel animals? I am very curious what they all look like.

Can you keep them?

Thank you!

this is a duplicate thread to the one down below... Sorry.. i am a newbie!!:ROFLOL:
I think if you go in and edit your other post you have the option to delete it so long as no-one else has replied... Worth a try! :D

Oh, and welcome aboard! Newbies make mistakes, but so do old hands... Don't sweat it!

Welcome! It's great to have you on board. You are going to absolutely fall head over heals in love with Walt Disney World, please post a trip report when you get back.

As far as your question...I'm not sure. When my wife and I stayed at Carribbean Beach in April of last year they would leave these cute little washcloth animals on the pillows after they serviced the room. I have pictures but being a relative newbie myself I still don't quite know how to post them, Sorry.

Maybe WDW will publish a "Towel Animal Origami" book?

Welcome, you will love staying on property.

I don't believe you can keep them, they are the hotels towels.

They don't always make the animals, but if you have your son (assume that is your son in the avatar next to you) going with you then you will probably see some in your room.

We had a rabbit done in our room but we did not keep it. I'm not sure if you can or not. Have fun on your trip!

I did try to delete it but was not successful:lol:

thanks for bearing with this newbie!

Only the mods can delete a thread, don't worry about it though. You are not supposed to keep the towel animals, but many people do. I have a bunny made from a facecloth, but left the elephant made from a larger towel.

My digital camera is broken right now, so I can't post a picture of the ones I have. I stayed for three nights in October at Pop Century & had a towel puppy every day when we got back from the paks. We weren't sure if was because the cleaning person was extra nice or because we didn't have a lot of stuff & usually tried to straighten out the beds every morning. Each day, they were in a different spot, on the first night when we got to the hotel, it was waiting in the window for us.

I think they only know how to make the puppy ones at POP Century. We stayed for 11 days and this past October and had one I think about 5 of the days. Most of the windows from the other rooms had one of the puppies in it.

Here is ours from the POR in June 2006. We took ours. :lookaroun It is still sitting on our entertainment center in our playroom. I still don't know what it is really. We had it our first night and none the rest of the trip. Hopefully we will have a different one this year.

It's clearly a Yeti (of the non-Everest variety) :animwink:
(though if you paint it blue you may see a resemblance to a certain sesame street character)

They are yours to keep. I was once lucky enough to have a mousekeeping cast member teach me how to make them. I learned how to make a bird, bear, birds in a nest, ghost, & puppy. It was a lot of fun! I was so happy because I got to create a little magic for other guests at Pop Century. The member of the mousekeeping staff had me keep one of every kind I made. He even gave me extra washclothes, rubberbands, and a few sheets of eye stickers to take home and practice making them. I asked over and over if he was sure I could keep them. He said yes and that he wanted the guests to take them home. That is why he makes them. :)

Last year housekeeping made a little towel rabbit and put it on the table in my brother and his girlfriend's room. He had baby carrots in the fridge, so he put 2 carrots next to the rabbit to give housekeeping a good laugh when they came in the next day. I thought it was pretty funny too. I wish we took a picture.

It's important to mention that staying at a Disney resort does not guarantee that you will get towel animals in your room. We've stayed at most of the resorts there, and sometimes we got them, sometimes we didn't. Just don't go with the expectation of getting them and you won't be disappointed.
Have a great trip!

We had a little towel bunny on our nightstand when we checked in, and there was a turkey in our room a couple of days later in honor of Thanksgiving. We did take the turkey home.
