Backstage Magic all the way!

It covers Epcot, the Studios, the Magic Kingdom, and the backstage areas. I was in awe throughout the whole 7 hours. It is definitely worth the $200 (or less with AP discount).

Meega, nala kwishta!
Most are very good. I'd read up on all of them, then ask the question again about specific ones.

If you're looking for favorites, I like the Backstage Safari at AK and the Gardens of the World at Epcot.

But we are doing two more (Segway and Sunset Safari) this year, so that list could change.

I've done the following tours, so if you want my views, ask away. :)

Backstage Magic
Gardens of the Wolrd
Hidden Treasures of the World
Undiscovered Futureworld
Behind the Seeds
Backstage Safari
Wild By Design
Sunrise Safari (AK Only)

and we'll be doing Sunset Safari (AK Only) and Segway in two weeks.

I have recently done Keys to the Kingdom tour which is a 5 hour walking tour of the Magic Kingdom. I thought it was awesome frankly. It was just under $50.00 with the AP discount ( Or the Disney Visa card also offers one as well) and it was so nice. We were all over in the MK including on a few of the rides, backstage areas and of course the Utilidors!!!!!!!! Our tour guide was nice and pointed out a lot of details that even going to WDW as often as I do I had never noticed. And lunch at Columbia Harbor House is included!!! Hope you have a great time whichever you choose. Belle

I have done Keys to the Kingdom and Undiscovered Future World. Both were good, but Keys was much better. If you have never done Keys to the Kingdom I would definately recommend going with that one.

The Backstage Magic tour includes a shortened version of the Keys along with Studio Tour and a Bit of World Showcase, plus all the backlot stuff like costumes, metal and wood shops and X-Mas decorations.

But you are right, it was awesome to see the backstage stuff and the Utilidors!

If there's any way you can scrim up the money, it's gotta be backstage magic. Absolutely the highlight of my trip. A little caveat -- the tour has somewhat changed from what is described on allearsnet.com. As a matter of fact, I'd imagine the tour varies from day to day depending on the guide, what's open, what's not crowded, etc. Our tour included (just a sampling here) a behind the scenes visit to American Adventure -- also the machine shop (where they build Audio-Animatronics, ride vehicles, signs, etc -- we even saw some mission space capsules!) We also got to see the Utilidoors, of course. It is a wonderful tour for a Disney fanatic. As for some people's fears that it might 'spoil the magic,' not so in my case. It really heightened my appreciation for what has to go on backstage in order for the magic to occur onstage. There is an AP discount, about 15% I think.

If backstage magic is not an option, I'd probably shoot for keys to the kingdom. I've never been on it, but it appears to be along the same vein of backstage magic, though obviously not as long, and only in MK as opposed to MK, EPCOT, and MGM.

Enjoy!

We wanted to do Keys to the Kingdom on our trip in December, but my daughter will be 6 months short of 16. We will do it on our next trip.

Does anyone know, do they actually ask teenagers with their parents for I.D.? Or do they check your reservation, where I have already told them she's 15?
