Touringplans.com NOT accurate

TSM will always have a long wait and FP will always be gone before noon regardless of the date or crowd level as it is the most popular attraction at DHS. I have lost count of the number of times that I have been on that attraction and the only time I have seen the stand by wait under an hour was during the last Tour to Endor special event.

I agree! This ride is an exception to the rule. You need to get there at park opening and get an FP, ride the ride, use your FP again and obtain another FP.

Seriously though why is TSMM always packed. I go in the beginning of December and that ride is always an hour wait.
It is a fun attraction with a very liberal height restriction and it has the addictive quality of a video game. It also has no comparable competition. If you are a family with a couple of kids that do not measure up to the height requirement of ToT and RnRC your thrill options at DHS become incredibly limited. TSM almost wins by default.

It really is addictive. Even my 18 month old loved it on our last trip. He wore the glasses, pulled the cord and everything. Did it twice with him in my lap. It was a really unique kind of experience with him.

I have been to Disney World twice since Toy Story Mania opened and still haven't ridden it due to the extremely long lines. We go again in December and I am thinking not even of going to DHS. If I am to waste 2 hours waiting for a ride it just isn't worth it to me as we only have a few days at WDW to spend. Even if I really would like to try it.:(
I will just be happy with the rest of the do-able things

Reading the page on touringplans that explains the Crowd Calendar 2.0, I noted that a 1 for the Studios still estimates a peak wait for TSMM to be 90 minutes.

60 is about as low as it can get. I was there two weeks ago, and it was 90 at that time of day. TSMM is just loading and unloading really slow right now.

I got in lie with a 90 on the sign, and it was more like 60. Perhaps the wait was actually shorter than 60.

I agree with the prior posters that 60 minutes IS short for TSM - I would gladly wait for 60 minutes to ride - and would probably do it several times in a visit! Based on what you said - that probably was a 1 for the park that day. However...consider this: What if a lot of people use touringplans to decide where to go. Wouldn't it stand to reason that the park would be excessively crowded based on people going there expecting it to be empty?

I stand by your comments....Touring Plans.com was WAY OFF....i was there also the same day as you....Yes TSM was busy....but hell Muppet 3D had a HUGE line as well. .....Yes the TP phone app works well...But the Crowd levels so far this entire week has been 100% incorrect!

MK and AK today....packed...shortest wait time was POTC...like 10 mins....Phil was packed.....Laugh Floor was PACKED.....AK train to look at goats (which i enjoy) PACKED....

Because like Soarin', it's a ride EVERYONE in the family- from Grandma, down to the 5 year old, can do. The entire family can go on together- no child swaps needed. Plus, as others have mentioned, it's incredibly addictive.
