Touring Plans Room Request

We have a 2 BR Villa at Boulder Ridge coming up and Touring Plans sent me an email to pick our room requests.

We booked through Disney NOT DVC.

Question is can we ask for a room request or are we just wasting our time?

You can: just don't also make a room request via online checkin, because it will cancel out your request faxed from touringplans.

I would call Disney direct and ask them to put request notations directly onto your reservation. Every time I've done that, I've been lucky and the request has been met - but I've also kept my requests simple. And if there has been a medical reason, the CM always make a note on the request to make it a priority (special room cleaning for asthma, first floor for mobility, close to first bus stop, etc.)

I made the request through Touring Plans but I may call Disney closer in to our arrival date. I asked for a lower floor close to lobby and transportation so maybe we will be okay. We will have a scooter.

I just hate to get all the way down a LOOONG hallway. Sometimes that walk gets really bad, We were in the next to the last room at Contemporary garden room and way down a long hallway at Yacht Club.

If you have mobility issues with a scooter, I would definitely call Disney reservations no later than 2 weeks before your check in date. I can't remember when they give details to the room assigners but you have more of a chance of getting your request if you don't wait too later. If they know there is a need for it, they will do their best to prioritize it over someone else that may be requesting the same thing just for their convenience.

Thanks, I will definitely do that!
