Touring Animal Kingdom

Hi
I made the following itinerary for my visit to Animal Kingdom on Wednesday July 8th, 2015.
I would like to experience only the attractions listed and not using any FASTPASS (since I am planning to save them for Magic Kindgom in the afternoon). I am also planning to be at 7:15 a.m. at the park and take advantage of the EMH.

Do you think I can do the following (in the order listed) without waiting too much time in line?

(1) Expedition Everest
(2) DINOSAUR
(3) Kilimanjaro Safaris
(4) Kali River Rapids
(5) It's tought to be a bug
(6) Finding Nemo - the musical
(7) Festival of the Lion King

Do you think I can do the rides with a better order?

Thanks
George

I have been there before in July 2002 but I cannot remember much about times waiting in line.
I know it's a busy time but I am trying to make the best decision!

Long lines in July are the norm and being you will be there very close to the July 4 crowds, there won't be much hope of avoiding lines. Hope you have a good trip. I personally would do the safari very first thing as its lines grow quickly and will surely be long by the time you do EE and Dino.
Just my opinion, your mileage may vary.

The AK is a huge park and it looks like you will be all over the park. In my opinion, your itinerary is quite ambitious. You also have to figure in the timing of the 2 shows....Nemo and Lion King. I would imagine that in July, you will find very long lines at Everest. The Safari is also a very long attraction and if you go with the plan to do everything you have listed, you will not enjoy anything. You will be waiting in a very long line at Everest :cat:hoping that you make it to your next attraction with time to spare. And..when you rush through the AK, you enjoy none of it. I understand that Disney is a very expensive vacation and people want to experience specific things, but the rushing around will make you crazy in the heat and humidity of Disney in July. Good Luck and I hope you can do everything you want.

I'd suggest hitting Kilimanjaro Safaris first and then continuing around clockwise to Kali, Kilimanjaro and Dinosaur (and then work your way back through the rest). Regardless of where you start, by the third or fourth big attraction, there will be lines, but I think your plan to use EMH puts you in the best possible position.

Wouldn't it be better if we do first Expedition Everest which last shorter and then head to Kilimanjaro safari than the opposite? I mean if I do the Safari first (20 minute ride) I can move to Expedition Everest 35-40 after the opening of the park! What do you think?

We have never had long lines if we got to AK and were at the first of the entrance lines, during early hours. We go straight to the safari, then to EE and straight back to Kali. We have stopped at Kali first if the wait time was posted at 10 minutes or less, which has happened several times. Early morning lines go much faster than regular hours as there are no fastpass lines to slow things down.
However, our last few trips, we have gone there for the safari and EE and left for another park for the day and returned to AK for the last two hours the park is open. We have been able to get on everything with almost no wait times by doing this. Even the safari had very little wait in the evening, but the animals are almost a no show in the evenings, especially during hot weather. Also, if we get soaked on Kali, we don't have to spend the day wet.

That looks reasonable, I would change Dinosaur with Kilimanjaro Safaris, as Safari tends to have crowds build faster than Dinosaur. You should check the Times Guide for AK when you check into your room, so that you can see the times for FoTLK, and FN. We try to put KS at the end of our day as walking around wet (I always get wet, and sometimes soaked) is not my idea of fun. Good luck and have fun, it sounds like a fun long day.

Yes you can get all of this done by early PM without FP+ but note the following:
1. Safari lines tend to fill up fast but so does EE- which one do you want the most? Make that the priority and then do the other.
2. Kali is not usually open during AM EMH- in summer- in my experience
3. First Nemo show usually around 11. It's 40 min. long.
4. Lion King- I don't know what time it begins each day but also rather long.
5. Dinosaur has short lines early.
