Besides the Yetti not working, please someone ask an Imagineer why the mist/fog effect isn't on anymore in the loading area

It's working again. The mist in the tunnel before the torn track and the mist at the top of the mountain haven't worked in years though.

You know what is surprising is that there is an animatronic Paul Bunyan at Nickelodeon Universe in Mall of America that's been working since 1992 and is still working pretty well. Here's a picture what he looks like. And it does't have a strobe light on him. I was just there this weekend and they were doing maintenance on him while I was riding. He's a pretty big AA when you get close to him.

That mist was having some sort of negative effect on the sensors at the track switch.
So..rather than fix it by changing to another type of mist/fog...they disabled it.

Useless. Utterly useless.
I haven't really gotten the concept of any of the "Limited Time Magic" offers. Nothing has appealed to me.:(

We were there for Unleash the Villains, but TOTALLY avoided DHS cause I knew it would be stupid busy... Why, because it was one of 4 they actually announced... I don't get what Disney was thinking. People would have planned a boat load of trips around some of these cool happenings.. but because someone wanted to wait till last minute, Disney lost out. It is just kinda stupid how they handled the whole thing. Outside of the few major ones they did, they did not have to spend much money for most of the weeks.

EDIT: and why the heck was a lot of the LTM events only 1 day. I thought when it was announced it would be week long events.

I asked on youtube if it was brought up cause I am to tired to watch the whole thing and it was at the 33 min mark and 42 min mark they talk about the stream and the bird and get slightly defensive... basically they sent two imagineers that were prolly off the project before the trains were even brought in and had nothing to do with animatronics or anything to indepth with the ride

Right. It's a battle keeping the steam at load as well, as it also necessitated the changing out of the types of the sensors originally installed in the station. Any kind of steam/mist/fog effect is terrible when combined with optical sensors. This is well known, but it's not always thought of when planning attractions.
Wait, there's more than one kind of mist?
What Lee said. There's theatrical fog which is water or glycol based, there's true steam, there's water mist, there's LN2 (liquid nitrogen), dry ice fog (rarely used)...many different types used in attractions.
