Hi all, and Welcome to Yensidtlaw1969's SUBMARINE VOYAGE UPDATE EXTRAVAGANZA!!!
Anyway, there have been many rumors of the Submarine Voyage's return with a new theme, such as Finding Nemo, Possibly the most popular rumor for a new Sub theme, have been floating around for the past few months now. All the Submarines have been inspected and there has been some activity . . . backstage.
UP TILL NOW.
This morning a Sign was posted outside of the Submarine Voyage Lagoon that reads "We Are Imagineering a New Idea for You."
Where was this sign posted, you may ask?
ON THE NEPTUNE SUBMARINE WHICH WAS SITTING IN THE DOCK OF THE LAGOON FOR ALL TO SEE AS OF THIS MORNING.
So, as to follow the supposed new "pull" line for the attraction, THE SUBS ARE COMING BACK,LETS PARTY!!!!!

"The new guy's" name is Matt Quimet. So far I like what he is doing, too.

I would be too excited yet. They are only coming up with something, still probably being the Nemo ride but the ride has to prove to Uppermanagement that the ride should be reopened. But with the Dry-for-wet being implemented in the water, the ride should be much cheaper to maintain.

Anyway, the imagineers still need to prove the idea is feasible and that is why the sub is out.

Anyway, those subs look weird.

WOW! That's GREAT! No, It's MORE Than GREAT..
Oh, It's As I Remembered Them, Good Ol'e Yellow Subs..
Also On Other Sites, I Saw That The Water Looked A Bit Cleaner (and blueish) And Cleaned Those Nasty, Coin Infested Tracks..
I Can't Wait!

Heylo All,

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasnt one of the reasons for the closing the S.V. was because it wasnt handicapped accessable? If so, is there any ideas floating around about how that could be fixed??

Hooray!!!!! :sohappy: I saw all the photos last week of the divers in the water. I'm glad they're starting to go public!! As I understand it, it's a trial run for execs that they're doing, and if the ride passes that, THEN it will work towards a return to the public. In any case, I'm still very excited!!

If I remember correctly, it was closed because of operational costs, along with it's very small capacity. (by the way, Maliboomer4617.....the Maliboomer rocks! :D )

Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be like that old Atlantis Expedition rumor....didn't they even put a sign up advertising that at Disneyland? However, I don't think Matt will let us down. :)

I actually REALLY like Atlantis and it's a great idea for the ride! I'd rather see that than a Finding Nemo thing but...

In reality, I'd be jazzed about anything as long as they bring the subs back! :sohappy:

This is great news! I can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm really hoping for no Nemo though. As much as I liked the movie, it doesn't fit the theme of Tomorrowland. Hopfully it will be similar to the old version.

isn't the attraction close enough to be reclassified to Fantasy Land???

remember, Matterhorn orioginally was counted Tomorrow Land, till they reclassified it Fantasy...

I remember Disneyland advertising the subs being converted into The Little Mermaid attraction back in the early 90's...obviously it never happened.
Atlantis Expedition doesn't sound too bad...it seems more of an adventure ride than Finding Nemo. IMO

I highly doubt that it will be an Atlantis ride. The movie didnt do so well...on the other hand, Finding Nemo did really well, so if they do a ride with an underwater theme, my guess would be Nemo....kind of a bummer....
