ToT

Hey guys, I know about ToT and how it has been pushed right back for budget reasons etc. but just wanted to know if anyone had any more info on the ride itself?

I believe I read somehwere that the foundations for the ride were lain down when the park was constructed, does anyone know if this is true?

Also I've circled an area on this pic in my gallery below. Is this where the ToT is intended to be built, after all the 'Toilets of Terror' are right next to there!

PS Anyone got any pics of the 'Toilets of Terror' in particular the HTH logo someone said they spotted?

Thanks! :sohappy:

I think the Toilets are pictured at one of the DLP photo sites. I have the HTH logo on home video - the theming of the veranda at what would have been the entrance matches 100% what we now see in DCA.

The foundations have never been confirmed, however (thankfully) if and when WDS does get the ToT, it won`t now be built here. The site is too small, it would be too dominating from inside and outside the park, and needs to be set further back to act as a weenie (object to draw people to it). This much has been confirmed... it just depends on the financial situation...maybe we will get a Tokyo clone once thats open?

I'm not that bothered about small differences such as details, all I want is a ToT LOL  And as you say if it does come, it'll all be down to budget, sadly a word that is all too important nowadays! Lets just keep out fingers crossed!

This was reported at a CM internal meeting at DLP:

But don't expect any new attractions - yet - as the high ranking manager stated that this would be possible if an attendance level of 14 million per year could be reached and secured (last year the total attendance was down from 13.1 to 12.4 million). Certainly one of the attractions expected to arrive in the future in the WDS is the Tower of Terror but this option was not commented upon in detail, citing potentional high costs and "major technical challenges"(??) experienced with the ride in Walt Disney World.

Was it just the fact that WDS were hoping to land a version of ToT in the future or another detail, such as the foundations thing I mentioned earlier?
