Awhile back ago, there were rumors swirling around about a possible new "Lost Sequence" for The Tower of Terror which had not debuted as of yet. (It's not ToT4--its an addition to it). Numerous people said it was a go, and no one else denied it as speculation or fakeness. Many people even had it is avaters.

Simply put--is this new sequence real and does anyone have any other information on it? I remember the details were hush hush, but can we at least have a debut date?? Is it real? Thank you.

Yeah its been awhile since i've posted anything. Its still a go, but Tower is taking alot of stress with these profiles. So you can see another Rehab before any other sequences are added. :)

I dont think they will do a whole other promotion....You should here the questions everyone at school (in orlando) asks me about it, because they are so confused from the advertising

*They built 4 tower of terrors?
*It has 4 eleators now?
*What happend to the "Terror" truck, that was the shizzles?
*Where is Tower of Terror 4?

to very simply *what is it?

And they wouldnt make a new promotion for one profile, and you will see why:animwink:

There won't be a new promotion because...Disney won't tell anyone it even exists. That is what will make it even more terrifying...it will happen like 1 in 100 rides and people will have no idea what is going on.

At least we have the comfort of knowing that with the current ride system, the ride will never have to close completely next spring...they can just do one shaft at a time and work at half-capacity during the slow season...better than a complete closure, I think you will all agree...seeing as we are talking about a 3-4 month rehab...

now, why do you say the tower is under so much stress?? whats so different about these new profiles that causes more stress on the building?

*slightly off topic; have most of the kinks been worked out with the new seat belt system?? because approx. 3 months ago when i was there they most certainly weren't... i'd be happy to tell my experience if anyone is willing to listen

thanks

The variability in ride sequences along with an increase in the velocity, acceleration, and deceleration of the elevators cause the added stress (i.e. the elevators go faster, speed up at a greater rate, and stop much quicker than they used to). The ride system wasn't originally designed with these sequences in mind, so they need a few modifications before they add an even more intense 5th drop sequence.

Plus for the 5th Sequence to come into play, it must have a rehab, hence the rehab in 2004. The 5th Sequence requires some serious modifications to the Horton Doors. Lighting, Sound, and other added modifications.

how is everyone really liking these tot4 sequences?? when i rode a few months ago, i have to admit i was a little dissapointed- dont get me wrong, i LOVE tot, but with all the build up of this 'incerdible, new' tot4 i was just expecting a little more i guess- there was just alot of hype you know??

to me it seemed there was simply a few more drops, and at one point there were two plastic figurines in the drop shaft that just sat there and were occasionally lit up with a stobe light. it just wasnt anything that incredible to me.

You didn't experience all four drop sequences...

There is one sequence that is considerably more intense than the others. But, I agree that the others are sorta the same built around a lot of hype. I loved the randomness of intitially fllying upwards or dropping down, but other than that they all feel the same...except for that one sequence with the false ending.
