Just did a search on it, its a PC game, quite big:hammer:

Looks like this guy used some sort of map builder to make the ride.

Found it. Here are the specs:
Product Features

Sequel to the hit first-person shooter
Scientist-with-a-crowbar Gordon Freeman joins a ragtag human resistance fighting extradimensional invaders for the survival of a conquered Earth
Unnervingly realistic graphics the likes of which have not been witnessed outside of a motion picture or pre-rendered cut scene
Realistic physics: objects have varied and appropriate mass, density, physical properties
For 1 player

That explains why the crowbar is in the shots.

you guys don't know what Half-Life is?!?!?! Next you'll say you don't know what Halo is. I hope you at least know about Zelda, Mario, Sonic, and Final Fantasy...

hey newer video games are very Disney-like...highly immersive, strong story lines and characters, and snazzy background music--probably why it was a good match b/t Disney and Square-Enix to make Kingdom Hearts...

Sure I know what those are

Halo: The thing that floats above an angels head
Zelda: The first name of F. Scott Fitzgerald's wife
Mario: The first name of Andretti, the racing car driver
Sonic: A fast food restaurant
Final Fantasy: The last think you think about before you die.

What do you think we are? Dumb or something? Geez......

Why is the queue so long?

This is impressive, but I couldn't figure out why the guy made the queue so long. Not only is it really boring to sit here and watch that part, but it's way longer than the queue on the actual attraction itself. :veryconfu

Agreed. Not only is Half Life pretty popular, but it's not new. If you've had access to electronic news in the past 10 years, you should know what it is.

My only question about the video is this; where is all the Stitch merchandise in the gift shop?!?!

sigh...Half Life is probably one of the most revolutionary and lauded video game franchises of all time. It's engine even spawned Counter Strike, the uber popular online multiplayer game. Oh, as I said in the original thread, this reconstruction of the ride using Gary's Mod is AMAZING...

Ahh...Gordon Freeman is my hero.

I've heard the phrase Half Life, and could tell you that it was some sort of computer game, but before coming on this thread, I really had no idea what it was about. My hardcore gaming days ended about a decade ago. I think people who stay on top of gaming may overestimate the impact these things have on the rest of society.

Half Life is also the amount of time it takes for a radioactive compound to break down by half of its mass...and in medicine, we use it to describe how long it takes a drug to become half as effective or potent in a patient/mouse :)

As for the impact of video games...America seems to get awful up in arms every time a Grand Theft Auto game comes out...me, I just welcome the new game into my apartment with OPEN ARMS! Now, a GTA ToT, I would LOVE to see!

Exactly!! Not being intimately familiar with what Half Life is really just is indicative of having a life!! It cracks me up when hardcore gamers are shocked to discover the rest of the world doesn't live, eat and breathe video games. It's kind of like Trekkies thinking everyone should be into Star Trek...Or hardcore Disney fans getting upset when someone calls the Magic Kingdom "Disneyland World".

Excuse me? I actually do have a life. If video gamers did not get away from the video game console, get girlfriends/boyfriends, get real jobs, and have kids, the video game industry would not be the multi-billion dollar a year industry that it is, as there would not be kids to play the games. Thank you for over-generalizing though.
