There have been torando sighting near and on disney property!! These warnings should be taken seriously and cautiosly. Even though Charley is crossing near Ft. Meyers Orlando is not out of the clear yet. It depends on what Charley wants to do while he is on land. He will decrease in strenght ...how much though ...who knows..only time will tell.

I knew I should of been a weather girl ....

Aw, man.

I live in Savannah, Georgia and we are currently under a hurricane warning until Sunday morning I believe. Yesterday, tornado sirens went off at my house when a squall line from Bonnie passed through. Winds are expected to hit 70 mph on Saturday morning when I have to work.... and the mall is refusing to close! My prayers are with everyone in Florida but don't forget us East Coast folks as well!

BTW, has anyone noticed if the top spire of Cinderella Castle has been removed?  J/K guys...

Corrus, your graphics are the best I've seen - do you mind sharing where the source is??

And I have to agree with Atta that Charley is turning out to be a very defined, "pretty" hurricane, especially in full color and only about an inch in diameter! I'm sure the real Charley is nowhere near pretty.

http://www.nbc-2.com/ has live video of Hurricane Charley. They have live pictures, video and broadcasting from the storm and also have calls coming in from those who live in the area. NBC 2 is broadcast from the Ft. Myers area and has people all over the Gulf coast. Check the site out and click on "Watch live broadcast." I live in northern IL and I feel like I'm in the middle of it right now. Thanks for all the updates Corrus as always.

Been there during a Tornado Watch

I was at the Studios during a tornado warning about 5-6 years ago. My sister and I were actually at the bus shelter outside MGM and could see the beginnings of a funnel cloud, that's how close at all was. They did a level "C" evacuation (A = Area (Clear out a specific area; i.e. small bomb scare), B = Backstage (Take guests throug backstage to clear out the park faster), C = Cover (Get all guests and cast inside secure buildings; i.e. theatres, queues with large holding areas, etc. and keep them there.). They came over the parkwide loud speakers and asked everyone to please remain calm and follow cast directions to the nearest safe area. We didn't get that outside the park so we had no idea what was going on until a transportation cast member came sprinting out in the torrential rain to bring us inside. They locked us in the cast break area behind package pick-up and even had towels and drinks for us until the storm passed. It was really eerie though to go sprinting through the turnstiles with all the gates open and no-one there. Apparently they take the guests waiting for busses and tell them to get on, regardless of their destination and pull all the busses into their garages for safety. Trams and toll booths are abandoned. It's all almost surreal but all the more terrifying at the same time.

Corrus, according to that last dopplar you posted, it appears that WDW and Celebration were just nailed. Any reports of damage anywhere at either place or what they have done recently in the past couple hours at either place too?

That's actually the second band to roll past Orlando. The first one hit a few hours ago according to my friend and was really strong. Bear in mind that those shots are the radar (rain), not necessarily the wind. But yes, it does look like they just got poured on.
