This makes me laugh. We had a cold front come in last week and the high only got up to 38 at one point. It's warmed up a bit and now the highs are in the 50s, but the poor Houstonians are still tromping around in their down coats and scarves. There's just no concept of cold here...

Its just a watch. Funny how a lot of the cast members dont know the difference between a watch and a warning. No big deal to be honest, its too cold.
"It's just a watch", until it isn't. Obviously you've never experienced a Tornado Watch turn into a Tornado Warning, directly over your head. Sirens don't even get a chance to go off when that happens. I tend to keep a close eye on my radar app after that one.

Yep. I was under a tornado watch at work recently until we had a real tornado warning (not yesterday). We launched immediately into our tornado warning procedures (go to lowest level of the building, wait until all clear, etc.)

I think too many people are too light hearted about the Watch status. As you said, there may not be any notification that the Watch is/has changed to a Warning as it has to change somewhere, and if it's over you, well....duck and grab something. While I've been fortunate and never caught in anything too serious, here in the Chicagoland area, there is a history of much damage from both severe storms and tornados. Scary stuff.

Agreed. Here in NW florida we were under watches most of the day which TURNED INTO warnings. Most people here always say" we don't get tornadoes" but that EF2 in Blountstown was just above us. A tornado is a tornado is a tornado!!
