Does anyone except Walt and maybe a few old or also dead imagineers know what the 33 stands for. We could be rambling on for nothing, no one knows for sure probaly though. (I have a record for being wrong so don't judge me. I'm just saying this, guessing in a way. Soooo yah.):brick:

It is legit, but like Nemo said - it's in Disneyland. I am going this fall for my first time & am very excited! I am still learning all about it too.

It started as a private club for the original 33 companies who sponsored Disneyland. Walt wanted somewhere that was exclusive to those people - to show his appreciation. It stuck, and is still in place today, inside Disneyland. You can become a member, but there's a 14 year waiting list (supposedly) and it's very expensive. Members are allowed to bring guests in however. My uncle is an employee of one of the companies & has invited us this fall. I will do a full trip report w/pics & all that when the time comes. :)

If anyone else has been there, send me a PM & let me know what the experience is like!

MKT (poster here) did a review with a ton of pics and good detail on Club 33 probably about 4 years ago. Do a search and hopefully you can find it.

I've been there several times... good atmosphere, good food, but it is not a holy grail of Disney.

I've even stopped finding humor in being able to drink inside of Disneyland.

And the reasons posted here for the names are all wrong :) Disneyland's liquor license is at 1313 Harbor Blvd, the number of sponsors differs, 33 on its side DOES look like MM (but still unlikely), and Walt's lucky number was 3 (double the pleasure... double the fun, 33!)

All reasons, and not a single one right.

possiblly the reference to "33" is similar to the one reported about the number that's inside a label of a rolling rock beer bottle

1933 was the year that prohibition ended

who knows:shrug:
