Top Restaurants at WDW

Hey guys!

So, I searched for similar threads on the subject but couldn't find anything that's up-to-date and was curious to hear everyone's opinions. I'm excited to say I'll be returning to the resort that ignited my love for Disney parks for the first time since 2003 this coming September! I've since been to every other resort, but this trip really feels like homecoming for me.

Anyways, as part of my trip planning I was just curious to hear everyone's top 3 favorite places for a good meal at WDW. Doesn't matter if it's breakfast / lunch / dinner, just wanted to make sure to include some interesting dining options for my upcoming trip (I know some spots require far out planning so I figured why not get a head start). Alright y then, debate away! :)

Since you mentioned Cinderella's Royal Table, would you recommend it to a young couple? We're without children and I'm really interested in experiencing it, however my main concern is with it seeming childish to my partner (he's never been to a Disney park before). Would you describe it as a place that is suitable for adults and would provide him a good first impression? :)

My daughter and I have eaten at CRT 3 times and no one will mistake us for kids. Our first visit, we were honored to witness a proposal. Ring on glass slipper, he got down on his knee, tears from everyone, including her father and an ovation from all of us. Even the Princesses were moved.

Go. You will enjoy it.

The past couple times we went, the Yak and Yeti table service was not that great while the quick service option was extremely good.. Has the food quality changed in the past couple years?

I absolutely think it has, it's one of the best restaurants in WDW. A few years ago I wouldn't have said so.

Are you using DDP, or not? It does make a difference.

Don't think we will. We're planning 2-3 table service meals, the rest will probably be either quick service or self-made breakfast at the hotel. I was also under the impression that this is something that's only offered to resort guests - we opted to stay at Universal's Cabana Bay Resort.

You'll love it, and he might love how happy it makes you. I wouldn't rule it out. Personally, I thought it was going to be lame until I saw my better half and kids absolutely beaming with joy. You can't put a price on that.

Thank you for your input guys. You really calmed some worries I had about feeling "aged-out". I'm sure the worst case scenario for him would also have him at the very least enjoying my enthusiasm lol.

Absolutely agree. Ate there 2 years ago. It was okay. Preferred the counter service at that time. (please bring back the noodles)

Ate there over Thanksgiving with my daughter, son in law, and his parents. His mom is a picky eater. She was upset that she couldn't finish her fried rice, not because she didn't like it, but because she LOVED it but couldn't finish as the serving was the typical Disney huge portion. I got the sticky ribs - they were soooo good. And I loved how they were served...and a large slab! What a difference those two years made! Everything was excellent. And those leftovers boxes barely made it back to the room.

We have been a bit over the past 6-8 years both dining plan and OOP. I find the food quality to be average most places so I might go for experience. When we do pay we really like Yachtsman's Steakhouse - then maybe Chefs de France and/or pizza in Italy. The bakery in the very back of France is also a hidden gem.

If you want to be blown away. Sanaa for casual, Tiffins for signature without being fussy, Tusker House character buffet(who am I kidding I'd go for the food and atmosphere), Rose and Crown last ADR time for Illuminations and MM for Fantasmic package. IMHO

You asked for TOP Restaurants - without DDP Restriction. Our list would be:

1) Victoria and Alberts, Grand Floridian. This one is VERY serious: Plan on about $700 for a party of two.

Now.... getting down to Earth.... I'll be listing FOUR

2) California Grill, Contemporary. Roughly $160, party of two.
Tied with Shula's Steak House, Dolphin. Roughly $185, party of two.

3) Citrico's, Grand Floridian. Roughly $165, party of two.

4) Il Mulino, Swan. Roughly $150, party of two.

We've listed these, left out others. There ARE a number of very good others. Artist's Point, Narcoossee's - we go to these as well. Our fail list currently includes EVERYTHING at Disney Springs, EVERYTHING within a Park.

All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it.. but I'll thrown in Narcoossee's Brunch.

Favorite QS- Tangerine Cafe Epcot.
Favorite Lounge- Trader Sam's. Food and beverages. Close second- Territory Lounge.
Favorite TS- character meal, close tie between Ohana and Garden Grill (I prefer family style)..Tusker House right behind those.
Favorite TS - non character, GF Cafe, Kona Cafe, Ohana (Dinner), Yachtsman. Cali Grill.
