I have several questions, and I am looking for your help. Does anyone know if the Top of the World Lounge (TotWL) is open during MVMCP? If so do the play the Holiday Wishes! music? We are DVC owners, but do you have to be staying at BLT to visit TofWL? We are only staying two night at AKV Jambo. We are on the waitlist for a standard studio at BLT, but have not cleared the waitlist yet.

We are thinking about going to MK for the day, walking over to the Contemporary for dinner, and then TotWL for Holiday Wishes! However, if we cannot go to TofWL we might buy MVMCP tickets or go to Epcot for the evening. Thank you for your answers!

Yes, you must be staying at BLT to go up to the lounge. There is a check-in desk in the lobby of BLT where you show your room key and they escort you to the elevator which requires a key card to get to the lounge.
There is a viewing area on the 4th floor of the main Contemporary building which offers an ok view of the fireworks. Anyone can access this area. I hope that helps.

And points not obtained through resale.

That's not true!

Top of the World Lounge is open to any BLT guests--owners or not, resale buyers or direct--who are staying on a reservation made through DVC Member Services.

To the OP, I wouldn't count on getting that Standard View studio. If memory serves, less than 10% of Bay Lake Tower is Standard View and those rooms are typically booked at 11 months by owners. There's an outdoor deck at the Contemporary Tower where fireworks can be viewed but I don't know if they play the music or not.

Follow-up question, at the Polynesian beach on MVMCP nights do they play the Wishes! music?

tjkraz, we are on the waitlist for lakeview and not standard (typo).
