Top 10 Most Desirable Disneyworld Resorts ?

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
Here is the list as to where I would like to stay (I've only stayed at Port Orleans Riverside)
1. Yacht Club
2. Beach Club
3. Boardwalk
4. Wilderness Lodge
5. Poly
6. Animal Kingdom
7. Port Orleans Riverside
8. Contemporary
9. Port Orleans French Quarter
10. POP Century

With the first 3 being pretty much a tie for #1. I have no desire to actually stay in the Grand Floridian...I know, I'm odd.

You're not the only one, never had any interest in staying at either the GF or Contemporary Resort for that matter... Poly is another story, very high on my list just not high enough to spend the extra $$$ over DBW.

No worries, I totally understand why people prefer the mods over values =) It's all what's more important to you.
I haven't stayed at POFQ, and I had rented a car when I stayed at POR so I can't speak for their buses. But I've never had a problem with the buses at Pop. In my experiences, the lines seem pretty long, but they send multiple buses and pump people through pretty quickly. I've ridden regular, cushy Mears buses back from the MK. That was awesome. I'm sure they do that for any resort that needs it, though.
However, I try not to judge a resort on the buses themselves. It's kind of a crap shoot. What I don't like about the moderate buses are the fact that there are several different bus stops throughout the resort, so you have to go all through the resort after getting on the bus.

The key to the moderates from my experience is getting the rooms closest to the main-pool and the first stop or two in the rotation if at all possible. They are usually preferred rooms and must be requested so do your research for both buildings/rooms and bus paths for any resort you are looking at.

We chose DBW simply because we can walk to and from both DHS & EC which is worth its weight in GOLD. This would ring true for BC, YC & Swan & Dolphin as well.

We are staying at The Yacht Club next month for the first time. I think it will definitely crack our top ten. We are celebrating our 25th WDW visit & our 40th wedding anniversary.

I forgot to mention that POFQ has just one bus stop. But I'm sure you're right that bus service is a crap shoot - like in any city!

We have only stayed at 5 different resorts in our dozen on-site visits since 1996. I would ranked them as follows:
1) Grand Floridian
2) Wilderness Lodge
3) Contemporary
4) Animal Kingdom Lodge
5) Caribbean Beach (The only one of the 5 I wouldn't stay at again)

We are staying at the Polynesian the next trip in December and probably would like to try Yacht or Beach Club about 3 years from now.

I have a co-worker that will be at the Polynesian tomorrow. I have only had breakfast at that resort. It is a very nice place with great location.

Our favorite park is MK, so for me (and I can narrow it down to a top 5 list) is:
1. Contemporary - short walk to MK, so no transportation waits
2. Poly - short monorail ride to MK; great view of Castle/Wishes!
3. POFQ - Best resort for the money, IMHO
4. POR - 2nd best resort for the money
5. POP - best value, although I haven't been to AOA

We did an RCI exchange with our timeshare for the 2 bedroom Kidani village savanna. We really got an excellent deal!
