toontown needs roger rabbit.

Roger Rabbit has never seemed to me like he fits within the Disney family of characters. I'm not a fan. I would rather see him go to the Studios or better yet not come at all! What I've always thought though is that if WDW ever had a dream of getting anything RR-themed, they would have done it a long time ago when the character was more fresh in people's minds. :lookaroun Please Disney, don't prove me wrong and bring him to FL...

It belongs at MGM, where it was originally planned to go (along with other Roger Rabbit-related attractions)

And Roger Rabbit rules. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. It was great from a technical aspect, it was fun, and it had Jessica Rabbit. :)

I would love to see it, but I don't think it would fit in Toontown "Fair", unless they made a city section like DL's. It's a great attraction, and I would love to see it! Incredible detail! If I'm not mistaken though, DL's has capicity issues, so if those were resolved, it'd be amazing!

i think that if they do add a toontown city area and put the "Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin" ride in there it would work.
that queue alone looks amazing.

Love Roger Rabbit and all but does anyone else think hes long past the prime of the movie. Most kids these days might not know who he is.

I think the Car-toon Spin would be awesome in either MGM or the Toontown Fair... lord knows both could use the attraction, plus Roger Rabbit's lack of presence at WDW is kind of a bummer.

Whoever came up with the Jessica Rabbit meet and greet is a genius. The only problem is finding CM's that can, erm, fill the role.

I heard the Taxi in the ride is named Benny, he is the cousin of Lenny from the movie, any one else hear this?

Its true. You are riding in Benny's Cousin Lenny in the ride.

If Bob Iger could pull something out of his hat like he did with Oswald then maybe we could see Roger back in the parks or a ride at ToonTown. I doubt that will happen. I'm not saying never, but it's highly unlikely.

One thing I wish they'd do is make some sort of Roger Rabbit sequal improving on all the toon/ live action interactions from the last one and make Roger Rabbit popular again like he was in the early ninties.

Love Roger Rabbit, love the film, would LOVE to see some more RR in the WDW parks. I think he would fit in pretty well within an MGM setting but a more RR-style "Toontown" would be pretty sweet as well. :)

Is there enough room (and is it possible) for them to expand Toontown Fair over by where 20,000 Leagues used to be? Is there anything between Toontown and where the lagoon was?

Hmm, it seems a lot of people are torn about Roger Rabbit. Some people don't like him, others don't like the ride, some don't like Jessica Rabbit. The rest of the people love the idea, love the ride, love Roger, and, heh... love Jessica as well.

Se, I've only been to Disneyland ONCE in my life (unfortunetely :( ) and when I went, I absolutely loved it, and Roger Rabbit has stuck out in my mind ever since. I'm 17, now, and I went to Disneyland when I was 8, and Roger Rabbit has stuck out in my mind for that long. I loved the movie, too. I thought it was funny, and there's a Mickey and Donald Cameo, isn't there? Or wait... is that the Goofy Movie... @_@ Anyway, haha, it's still a cute movie (even though Jessica is a suggestive character) but Roger Rabbit SHOULD be welcome in Disney World, whether it's in a new section for Toon Town Fair, or added near one of the city-themed areas of MGM Studios. I think it's a great idea, I love the ride, and the Queue line is the ONLY queue line with that much detail everywhere you look.

I think a cartoon is the best thing to base a queue line around BECAUSE you can put anything and everything, and Roger Rabbit dealt with the idea that Cartoons were actually hired actors who auditioned for different movies and had agents and everything else, and it was something that had never ever been done before. Expanding that Toon World would be a great idea, and I think a sequel would be great, and you know what would be great? To see Oswald and Roger somehow find each other in Toon World, and get mixed up in each other's stories. They could recreate Oswald AND Roger Rabbit at the same time, and actually have kids and teens and adults remember these guys, and want to see the first movie, and see Roger and Oswald in the parks. Meh, I think it's a fun idea.

If I remember....it's been 6 or so years....but RR Cartoon Spin in DL doesn't even involve Jessica Rabbit does it? (I didn't watch any of the clips either...so maybe it does and I just don't remember.)

I thought the ride was fun and if it would come to WDW, I think it would fit right in at Toontown. Problem is, as someone stated, he's kinda lost his popularity (which is also my opinion - we won't dig into that can of worms though.....:dazzle: - I think we should just let it die), the DVD sales weren't what a lot of people had hoped for and Disney's censoring of the original didn't help some of the die-hard fans out.

Mickey has a cameo with Bugs Bunny...Donald with Daffy (and Betty Boop)...

Jessica Rabbit is in the ride. She gets kidnapped by the Weasels. I love the ride. Possibly the best que at any theme park. Love walking through the cartoon city and hearing the various residents talking in the background. Love the movie too. One of my all time favorites. "I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way." And Roger himself has been in my top five all time favorite characters. He's so ridiculously wacky, and his cartoons had amazing animation.

I always dislike this argument. One need only point out Splash Mountain for it to fall apart. When Splash Mountain was built in the 80s, "Song of the South" appeared only once every 7 years or so in theaters. As time has passed and the movie has become even more scarce (no video, no DVD, no theater re-issues), the attraction is still just as popular as it was opening day. It's all about story, theme, and characters. You put all three of those things into an attraction, and you could use whatever Disney property you wanted.
I say Walt Disney World does deserve a Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin, or maybe something even better (Roller Coaster Rabbit comes to mind, or the log flume used in one of the other Roger shorts). No sense in just cloning when it can be plussed.

Roger Rabbit had a huge presence at MGM when it opened in 1989. There was an area in the backlot that was themed to the whole Acme factory, and the big "dip machine" was on display back there for a while. Unfortunately, the Disney Decade plans for "Roger Rabbit's Hollywood" themed area eventually fell through. It's a shame, because the proposed Toontown Trolley simulator ride looked pretty interesting. . .

ok i have an idea.
that spare bit of land where the 20K lagoon used to be could be made into a toontown city, sort of like what DL's toontown is like, and the RR ride could go in here.

or

put a new toontown area, the same as it was in the RR film, behind part of the streets of america,to join the 2 have the ACME warehouse complete with the large hole in the back to cross over into toontown,or maybe even have the maroon cartoon studios to connect them.
and put the RR ride here.
and also how about they spruce the ride up abit and have ride vehicle similar to that of the spiderman ride at IOA.
wouldn't that be sweet.

Whoa... like... bigger ride vehicles to accomodate more people, and an interactive Cartoon/3D Environment?! That SCREAMS Roger Rabbit right there! Man, I wonder if Disney Imagineers think up these things, and if they do, why they can't happen. Like... what stops these things... Hmmm... Maybe when things slow down from the creation of "bigger and better" attractions, we'll get some remakes of our loved ones. I'm hoping it'll happen near the end or so of the Million Dreams celebration, after Finding Nemo, The Musical, "Midway Mania", The Laugh Floor, and yada yada...
