Trip Report Took a First Timer and Celebrated a Bday!

Soooo our long awaited trip has come to an end and it couldn't have went more smoothly! We really had a great time!

DAY 1...TRAVEL DAY APRIL 30TH

So as some you might remember we were surprising my husband's youngest daughter by leaving a few days early. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 10:10 out of PHL that morning. We got up at 6 that morning and went as far as to have her get dressed for school before we told her. We literally dropped the news 10 mins before running out the door! She was so excited...I have video and will try and upload it. So off we went, and I guess I lied when I said everything went smoothly. My father-in-law picked us up at 8am and drove us to the airport(thankfully we are only 15 mins away from it) as we pulled into the treminal I realized that I left both of our debit cards at home. I've NEVER done anything like that travel wise before! So back home we went...made it back to the airport at 8:40 ish...flew threw security and we were ready to go! We boarded and ended up sitting on the runway for almost an hr!! Finally took off around 11am and had a smooth flight! This is me and my oldest step-daughter Kayla. She's 12 and this was her first flight and first trip to Disney...actually her first trip anywhere.

We were originally scheduled to land at MCO at 12:51pm..but we must have made good time because we only landed about 10-20 after that time! I got a text that our room was ready as we were landing! Normally I wouldn't have cared but this day was our non-park/pool day, so it worked out well. There was barley a line for POR at the ME...we waited about 20 mins for a bus and we were off! We headed right to our rooms, changed into our water panties(im a goof ball and say ridiculous things all the times) and went to the food court. We reallllyyyyy liked the food court...we thought everything was good and tasty...of course my husband and I are both 500lbs and live to eat...so maybe we aren't the best judges lol. We swam for a few hours and went to bed around 10pm because the next day was the MK! We were all super excited to start our trip!

DAY 2 ...FRIDAY MAY 1ST..

We were up and out by 8:30, so by 9:15 we were walking down Main Street. It was a beautiful day and everything was so pretty! We took our time strolling and taking pics...the park was very empty. My husbands's daughters..Kayla and Mia;)

Our first FP was Space Mtn, but we had about an hour to kill so we hoped on the People Mover and then got in line for Buzz.. I got really excited when I saw that the Standby wait was under 15 mins! After Buzz we did Space which is always great...made our way to the Speedway and Tea cups. I was amazed at how empty everything was..we made such good time! I wanted to try and squeeze in as much as possible since it was Kayla's first time. Around 11:30 we stopped for some lunch, did Small World, and then made our way over to Big Thunder and Splash. By this time it was after 2 and everyone was tired so we called it day knowing we'd be back in a few days to hit everything we missed. So we headed back to POR and did some swimming. Dinner was at the foodcourt and when Mia(the bday girl)fell asleep we decorated the room with Frozen bday decorations. It was so cute!

DAY 3..SATURDAY MAY 2ND...MIA'S 9TH BDAY

So when Mia went to bed the night before we decorated the room with Frozen streamers hanging from the ceiling, a huge Frozen door poster, and we laid out all her wrapped presents. I wen to the dollar store at home and bought 2 bday cards and signed one from Minnie, one from Anna and Elsa. In the card from Minnie I put some Minnie jelly beans I found at Party City and in the card from Anna and Elsa I put some Frozen tattoos. When we woke up we did presents and and then made our way to Epcot! We had FP's for Mission Space, TT and Figment. We did SE as soon as we got there and after our rides and club cool we hit up Mexico for lunch! After empanadas and nachos we did the WS...which I wasn't sure how much of it we would get done since neither of my husband's daughters had ever done it and didn't seem too interested. Mia..the 9 yr old ended up LOVING IT...I was so proud lol...WS is MY FAVE spot in allllll of DW. My 15 yr old and husband love it as well so we usually do Epcot and the WS at least twice per trip. Mia was super excited about kidcot especially since she was getting special birthday messages. We stopped for slushies halfway around and finally called it a day around 3. We had reservations for Beaches & Cream, but had to cancel because we stayed at Epcot a little too long. Mia asked of she could go to a kids club for her bday that night so we dropped her off at the new Lilo's Playhouse at the Poly. She went to the old Neverland Club 2 yrs ago and LOVEDDD IT! WE took the big kids to HS that night which worked out perfectly since she wot ride RNRC or TOT.
