ANYWAY................
My time to start Christmas is the day of Thanksgiving, right after Thanksgiving dinner. Canada celebrates it our Labor Day and we celebrate it on the 22nd this year.

As I recall, it was celebrated in October, around the time Columbus Day is celebrated in the US.

Good call, Marcia! It is celebrated when we celebrate Columbus Day--the Canadians on the hockey teams are always impressed when I wish them a happy Thanksgiving! :)

The year we lived in Toronto, we got to celebrate Thanksgiving twice; my parents visited for the Canadian one, and we went to Philadelphia (in-laws) for the US one....now if we could only have solved Christmas so easily! (over the years, the problem has solved itself; my husband's parents are deceased, and my parents are too old and frail to leave alone on the holidays, so no one expects us to leave home!)
