I think I saw a thread with no responses about this a good while back, but I figured I'd give it another shot.

Does anybody know what may be going on with Tony's this spring? We have a 9 day May trip planned, and there are absolutely NO reservations available. We checked first thing at the 180 day mark, and have checked nearly everyday since. I mean, its a good nice meal, but I just don't see the demand being THAT high for it. I think the previous thread I referenced said something about the availability being gone from mid-April through June. I've looked but haven't seen anything regarding a refurb, so I wasn't sure if anyone else may have heard something through the grapevines.

Just curious too. We were there November 2015 as my son is a huge lady and the tramp fan and the 4 of us had an amazing meal and the CM's were so awesome. We were hoping to go ahead in August 2017.

We are going the end of June, and there was no availability then either

It's not that great a place, but we are pretty much done with BOG and LTT and CP don't interest us anymore either. We hadn't been to Tony's in years, so decided to give it another shot, but nothing was available - and we tried right at 180 days out.

Have you gone to The Plaza? I'm a fan. It's not near as $ as other table services and I like the location!

There is some availability in April - I'm guessing they haven't pushed their calendar out like they should for reservations. As I spot checked through May, June and July and April was the first month that had any availability.

I second The Plaza. We've gone there for lunch a few time. It's nothing fancy but our food has always been fine and the service good too. Solid milkshakes. Great place to get away from the crowds (it's pretty small inside). If you time it right you can sorta a parade.

I don't think that's it. When I researched it, there were seats available until April 22nd and there's none available on April 23rd...or any time after. It's even showing no availability for times that do not conflict with the packages. I'm wondering if there's consideration for a refurb.

We went in mid December. Which is supposed to be a slow time and we had trouble getting a reservation. 6 Months out, we could not get anything. I kept checking back and luckily, something opened up. So, keep checking!

Also, the food was great. I had read many reviews and not all were positive. I had always wanted to go, so we went and were pleasantly surprised. I would definitely go back (if we could get a reservation).

Yeah that's how it was for us and BOG a couple years ago when it first opened. We checked everyday for 180 days and grabbed a reservation the day of, 15 minutes before. I knew the difficulty for BOG at that time was because of its extreme popularity and newness, but that's why I was confused for Tony's. Didn't know it was so popular and didn't want to obsess over checking for a reservation if it was going to be closed. :confused:

Glad to know that you had luck getting a reservation, though. I'll keep checking!:)

I wanted to make an ADR for breakfast at Kona Cafe this coming April. Breakfast wasn't even listed, so I ended up calling Disney Dining and got one with no problem. But I wasn't on hold for 25 minutes, though. I wonder if Disney sometimes holds back dates and times in anticipation of a very busy time. Seems kinda strange to me, though.

Just got off the phone with Disney Dining and the CM I spoke with basically said she had no idea why there was no availability and she was as confused as I was! Go figure! Oh well. I will try again when it gets closer to the trip.

Crazy thought - Does anyone think that Tony's might go the way of The Plaza and switch to walk up with no reservations?
IF this were the case, I would think that Disney would send out a press release like they did The Plaza.

I have been a number of times. It's not bad, but we were looking for something a little more substatial than buegers and chicken sandwiches.

Also, while not a deal killer, I hate the fact the the restroom for the Plaza is outside and down the road a bit. You are in a theme park, touching who knows what, that has been touched before by 1,000 other people, and you are in a restaruant that specializes in dishes you eat with your hands. Put in a washroom.
