Just got back and I've been a frequent disney diner and for some reason never tried tony's. It was gross. Was it just a bad night or is it always like that? I would not recc this one at all.

Sadly I went there a few yrs ago thinking how cute I love italian and Love Lady and the Tram. So we tried it and every one in my party felt it tasted like a mediocre tv dinner.

When making reservations this visit coming up we are going with different people and they had the same experience that we did at Tony's.

That's a shame, sorry to hear that you had a bad experience.
My family's lunch at Tony's last summer was very good, not four stars, but good enough for theme park restaurant food. I've certainly had worse elsewhere.

Unfortunately, it's the usual at Tony's, as well as at most "Italian" dining locations at WDW. The lone bright spot used to be Palio at the Swan, but its replacement is mediocre at best (and calling it Il Mulino is a travesty given how fabulous the original location in NY is). Portobello is OK, but the rest are not worth it. One can only hope, I suppose, that the final update of the Italian restaurant at EPCOT will bring some improvement, but I'm not holding my breath...

Last year we decided to give Tony's a second chance mainly because we were making our ADRs late and had limited choices. It was as bad as I remembered. Knowing that the pasta was really bad.. I ordered Steak, which was ok.... little overcooked for me. Service is really slow and the place is so loud because of small size. On the positive note though I did like the dessert sampler. I think our whole family agrees that we don't want to do it again.

That's too bad. We've eaten there many times and never had a bad meal or service. In fact, we had dinner there on this past New Year's Eve and it was fantastic!

We have not eat there in about three years. We used to eat there all the trip. Then it was always very good, and yes the Lady and the Tramp was kind of a cool enviroment. I am sorry that you did not have a good meal there. Sometimes places can get hit or miss.

Heading for the great escape.
Two visits one excellent, one average in the extreme, its kind of hard to enjoy your meal with small panic striken birds flying and downloading all over the room.

However it was the shrunken menu and marginal quality that was the most annoying.

We have found Tony's to be declining for the last 4 years. We don't even eat there anymore.

Tutto Italia at Epcot is great.
Portabella yatch club is ok
I Mulinos is the same, the food was too salty for us

We ate there when we got engaged in March of 2006 and really enjoyed it. The last 2 visits not so much. Unfortunately, my husband really likes it so it's something we always do. I have to say that I have better luck with the N.Y. Strip than the pasta dishes.
