I need some help. I'm looking at dinner options for one of the nights we are at Disney. I have 3 small girls, myself and husband. We are not sure which resturant would be better. Any tips on which resturant is better would be greatly appriciated.

Well, lets see, two completely different styles of food; Italian and Mexican. So you may want to check the menus and see which one the family will like the most. I say with 3 small girls, Tony's would be the better choice.

Second, how long are you staying at the resort? and which park are you planning to attend this day? That will count into timing and travel plans since the restaurants are in two separate places.

we will be there from Sept 21-Sept 28, we looked at both and we like both Italian and Mexican. Plus we have reservations at Tutto Italia for our first night. We plan on hopping between the parks the first three days and the day we are looking at is Sunday for either place. Our deliema is we have read a lot of bad reviews for Tony's and just not sure

May I suggest San Angel Inn instead of La Hacienda? Your girls will love the theme!

I will agree with Dad2. If you are already going to do Italian, then mix it up with the Mexican. Now I have never been to either Mexican place but I am dying to try the San Angel Inn (that's the one inside by the boat ride, correct?) It's looks awesome in there and may be a nice experience.

As for Tony's, It's charming. It's more American (Olive Garden style) food as opposed to more traditional Italian and with my very boring non exploring taste buds it's the preferable place. I am sorry it gets so many bad reviews, I love it. I went on a solo trip to The World in May and was treated to a balcony table and since my reservation was on the later side, they invited me to stay to watch the Electrical Parade from my table. Magical.

we were looking at La Hacienda so we could catch the Illumination show at night. i'm leaning more toward the mexican but wanted to see what everyone on here had to say about either place before i make up my mind

In my opinion, anywhere but Tony's. It didn't even live up to Olive Garden in our experience. If you really like Italian food, go somewhere else for it.

Tony's is never good. It isn't bad, but it's never good. You'll eat better (and cheaper!) at Olive Garden.

I'd advise any sit-down meal over Tony's.

La Hacienda is good, but I think the kids would be happier in San Angel.

Ate there in October of last year, and I thought the food was pretty good. I actually think the food and design in San Angel are better, though, especially since the revamping of the menu. However, you're not going to get a view of Illuminations from inside of the pyramid, so if that's important, stick with Hacienda. It won't be a disappointing meal.

Avoid Tony's at all costs. You'd have just as good a meal if you bought some Marie Callendar's frozen dinners at Publix and heated them up under the hot water in your hotel's bath tub.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I cancelled our reservation for Tony's. But we decided we would try Teppan Edo and do the QS in Mexico one day since we had it last year and really liked it but have never tried the Japan resturants
