The El Capitan is Disney's own Hollywood movie theatre, and they usually pull out all of stops for the current Disney film there. They did that for Tomorrowland also, including having a nice exhibit of artifacts from the movie, including the "jet pack" prop. But the coolest thing is that they filmed opening day, with some commentary and showcasing by the legendary imagineer, Tony Baxter, and they are showing the footage of that opening day right now on their site. Check it out:

I assume it will go away when the movie leaves after June 17, and I did not see a way to watch it on YouTube or share it here. So, check it out. Very nice.

And if you live in the LA area, you might be interested in seeing it there, to see the artifacts yourself.

I am game...but i have seen many of those artifacts already at Disneyland.
Not sure if the 'Tomorrowland Preview' is still going on there, but the side room next to the Starcade had a wonderful little display inside...loaded with concept art, video clips, and many of the pieces shown in the above video at the El Cap.

Aww heck....i will GLADLY go and see 'Tomorrowland' again for the FORTH TIME...sure!
I absolutely LOVE this movie.
More people need to see it as they are missing out on something special.

( currently addicted to listening to the official soundtrack from the film....)

Thank you for sharing that! I truly appreciate your efforts to spread cultural history, @prberk, I think you are a gem of a WDWMagic member!!

I love that your signature tells people how to find the Grand Ole Opry. I am married to a radio buff, and we love all kinds of music. While NYC used to have a great country radio station, WHN, back in the 60s and 70s (it did make it into, but not through, the 80s) it's been really difficult to find country music on the radio up here. We made do for years with CMT, but then that seems to have gone away too.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail the Tommorrowland thread!

Don't worry. It won't be the first time a thread goes off the rails. I appreciate your comments. And poignant to see the Grand Ole Opry comment, as I just heard tonight that long-time Grand Ole Opry member Jim Ed Brown lost his bout with cancer tonight. Sad. I will be posting a thread in Chit-Chat soon about it.

But thanks for the other compliment, too. I really like to share some of the stuff that I find out about that might matter to folks here. It is a good group.

Thanks again.

Paul
