Tomorrowland Speedway

Well, Dollywood had electric versions, and it was nice (no gas smell and loud noises).
Sure would be nice to have new vehicles like the CARS characters or something different!:D

I know a lot of people like this ride, but IMHO its time for it to go. I liked the idea some one had about moving it to DHS and theming it to Cars. To me, it just does not belong in Tommoroland or Fantasyland. I know its not quite the same but I asume that most towns that have a mini theme park also have a go-kart track. I just dont think that the Speedway experience is that unique anymore. And as always this is just my opinion.

It's the one ride at MK that I think needs to go. Rather than relocate it to DHS or Epcot, I think that the best place for it would be at either of the miniature golf locations on property (that's where all of the go-kart tracks are located in all of our hometowns, right?). Replace it with something that makes sense being in Tomorrowland.

I remember going on this as a 5 year old and not liking it then! That is the only ride i can remember as a child that I didnt like. You turn the wheel and nothing happens and the car is sooo slow. It definitely needs a refurb of some kind.

The Speedway is going to stay because it's Walt's IDEA to put it Tomorrowland it was a opening day attraction in Disneyland. It's a tradition to put in the park like Dumbo goes every park and orbiters goes in every park, HM and POTC goes in every park.Plus if disney didn't wanted it (and if people didn't wanted it) you would think they won't put it in parks.Don't you think?

Thank you for listening to my rant. Sorry if it's a little to much.

I have had this argument with my brother many times. It takes up so much space! and it doesn't have a future feel and its gas cars? Thats like the present carnival...I mean it is kinda fun...but it just needs to be something else. That needs to be the next project for MK

I agree...it is time to move on from it and get green in the process.

My boys loved it when they were young. I say keep it. Besides, think of all the people it ties up for about 30-40 minutes. If they aren't there they would be throughout the park making other lines longer

Soooooo you make the cars electric and call it Walt's Green Speedway - or why not just make it all the Jetson's cars and let the kids fall out of the sky at the conclusion of their transit around the track..... leave it alone and get over it - some things just don't need change. The kids love it - if they didn't the lines would not be soooo long.

I loved it as a kid. Ignored it as an adult. Now that I have kids (4 and 5) I love it again, just to go with them.

I used to think it would be kind of cool if they themed the cars as Pixar Cars, but now that Carsland opened up out west, I think the comparison out here would just get depressing.

I don't like the ride at all. It's smelly, it's loud, and it doesn't match the theme. The only thing that I would miss greatly would be the openness that it brings. I feel like if you built anything there it would feel super imposed and crowded.

My 6 year old daughter found it boring. It needs to be updated in some way. Imagine how popular it would be if the cars were modled after the Cars movie with some added scenery and a little exta speed.

But it's TOMORROWLAND not Cars Land.

Between the Monsters Inc. comedy show and buzz lightyear, you think someone would really notice another Pixar attraction?

Besides, sitting between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland always made this one kind of a mutt.

Personally I wish they had given it the same upgrade Autopia got based on those Aardman Chevron cars.
It was Cars before Cars was Cars.
