As long as people keep lining up to ride it they will probably keep it. I am at the age that I don't think you should get rid of something just because it is getting old. ;)
Both my grandkids love it, and I hope there will always be a place for the "classic" attractions.

My grandkids loved the Race Cars even my grand daughters. Was one of their favorite rides on our trip in June. My grand sons are like most males-they love the sound of race cars. It would be a mistake to do away with it. It is an iconic great ride.
Replacing it with electric cars as some have suggested has the overtone of a political statement.

Maybe a few years ago, but at this point the electric car industry has friends on both sides of the spectrum.

Agreed. I don't feel it's any more of a political statement than say UoE opening with solar panels/cells in 1982 or the DL Railroad switching to bio-diesel in '09. Whether it's using alternative fuels, consciously being green, being mindful of the environment and earth, or just being more efficient, none of it is really political in any way when you actually sit back and look at it objectively.

My Deja Vu statement. I remember going to our closest amusement park (2.5 hr drive) that had similar cars. We were excited to go on the ride. We were young pre-divers and couldn't wait to drive a car. Keep it.

Also, it keeps a lot of people in line and away from other rides.
